Today, from LV21 to LV26. I rarely win a match. Also, full of late joined match. So you cant even catch up with the 1st player’s score. You are already 1000 scores behind the 1st one when connect. WTF.
As a reminder, I never group with others. The situation for a solo player is just as bad as it shows. If you group with others, and has voice chat, then certainly will be easier than me.
BTW, I mainly play in EEU server, which a server should get better Soviet than other servers. Then I switched to EU server, yeah, team at least understand English. But opponent is even fierce.
I have not yet begin to play German side. So not much comment about balance. Will conclude it when I reached some levels in German side.
Yeah. I meet a lot of other forum plebs in Stalingrad. Trolled @Rickyd123 with my KV a bit and meet @W4rPig one time (where we had a funny and extensive close one for the Soviets).
Not really. KV survives TNT blast on most spots. Afaik you can only OHK the tank by using tnt on the driver hatch. Also, at least according to WT, its easier to angle with the KV than with the T-34 as the mg port is just too big (which is also a issue without angle)-
The main problem is the lack of effective players. The weapons are not bad, since I think ppsh spam and sniper squads are the meta on this campaign, but the Axis side gets the same things (+ better bolt-actions, better mgs, and mkbs). Losing isn’t bad, but I often quit matches when I am the only one building rallies (for Pete’s sake, this isn’t like Tunisia where you have to grind hard for your first engineer). On the Axis side, I can afford to not build any rallies because there are always two or three others building them. I enjoy playing both sides, but I am always forced into carrying the Soviet side. I prefer the Soviet tanks, but this advantage cannot compensate for the lack of effective players.
Not a weapons problem. I’ve seen a few Soviet Teams play aggressively and boy is it hard to break through. But for the most part they all think they are Vassily Zaytsev, and can be relied upon to pick a camping spot so far from the objective, or in a spot that has absolutely no kill zone.
I run out of ammo alot and have picked up lots of different Russian weapons and gone on a killing spree with their own guns. Nothing wrong with them at all. PPSH is still a monster, Rifles are amazing period. And I loved the Dinner Plate! (DP)
If someone dies its not because the other guy had better weapons. Its because they shot accurately first.
Has around when i was plagued by a console team, everybody in my team was a console, come on, when i play on PS4 i take the top 3 at the minimum, its that hard to flank and make rally points?
I’m maxed as Soviet in Stalingrad and the PPSh is very important for the campaign with the buildings and stuff but what the team needed more is competent players that knows how to build rally points and know how to storm the objectives. instead of try hard Vasily Zaytsyevs that just camp and don’t even know where the objective is.
Since most of my main squads in Stalingrad are fully leveled, I may leave the campaign for awhile to take care of some of my shopping list with the DT-29 in Moscow, Tiger E in Normandy and the third assaulter squad in Berlin with the stock of PPSh ready. Will be back soon hopefully teams get better like Soviets have more KV-1s even those who are not full access.
Probably now is time for Soviet side get “playerbase split”.
Axis get split 5 times, Soviet get split 3 times.
Those main one nations will always choose the easiest faction. Stalingrad soviet isnt easy compared to moscow/berlin soviet. Just like Normandy Axis attract tons of Axis mains.
I produced the only winning method after a series of defeats.
It is to take a KV-1 before a beginner takes a T-70, then a T-34 when that is destroyed, then spam with a heavy bombed P-40 when that is destroyed.
Today, there is a serious shortage of skilled vehicle crews on the Soviet side of Stalingrad.
Really sucks that I have the T-34 STZ yet I’m the only one who has infantry squads armed with PPSh and MGs for the entire team with the situation where the infantry gets massacred if I get in my tank or the team gets massacred by enemy tanks alongside the team bringing shitty T-70s instead of a T-34 or KV-1.
Even worse is when I need my tank, I couldn’t get in because the stupid team went on brainlessly spamming shitty T-70s.
I cannot do every goddamn role at the same time and I need to build rally points myself.
