the difference is that we mention rof when it comes to smgs specially the low br one such as PPSH-41 box and the uragan smg
and what the fg42 and avt is? yes Select fire rifles which are totally different and things switch places tecnically
and well there are other stuff that makes me wonder why?
when the AVS rof buff was announced it also got a Recoil buff according to what was mentioned on the patch note
on the other side both FG42 I and II got rof buff but did not get any recoil buff as a compensation
remember that also the FG42 (both versions have bigger dispersion than the avs) which is literally very noticiable:
this was even before the buff imagine it now?
remember that also both FG42 does not have its bayonet which also reduces the recoil
and now add the fact your mag does not help
also remember the little Buff?? on its damage well gotta say it useful until enemy take 5 steps away from you then everyhting is the same as before the buff
thats cool, I didnât say it never existed. I said thereâs no surviving examples (or even photographs) which means the developers canât model it. Just using the post-war Swiss version wouldnât be ideal
And who set these standards? Your problem is that your standards are always in favor of Germany. RoF is often a matter of taste, I think as long as a weapon doesnât have a very low RoF (anything below 500-550), itâs usable and other numbers are just a matter of taste.
ROF matters in guns that need multiple bullets to kill someone, e.g. SMG.
also it matters in guns that have extremely low recoil, e.g. SMG.
ROF doesnt matter in guns that can kill/down with one hit(SF rifles) or in guns that have high recoil(e.g. MG)
I donât really agree with these standards. For me it depends on a lot of things, how you use it (for example when you want to spray bullets with MGs), weapon recoil, magazine capacity and damage. You canât sum everything up in two lines.
well gotta agree a lil bit when it comes to the reload (cof cof 0.1 literally almost no difference unlike other factors such as dispersion 0.22 to 0.18)
but here comes the trick unlike the AVT the FG42 shoots faster and well as faster you shoot more screwed you are cuz of how recoil increase as bullets get fired, still have a decent recoil gotta say but
who cares if you have perfect recoi controll when the dispersion screw you anyway? worst of al is all RNG it does not depends on how âââskilledâââ you are
it is perfectly ok not to agree with those standards. but considering you mentioned everything i mentioned(i forgot about mag capacity), you basically agree with me.
The FG42 2 works very well at close and medium distances, but you might have trouble sniping enemies at a hundred meters! After all, a weapon isnât supposed to be great at everything!
To copy a comment I made somewhere else, the idea that rof doesnât matter for one shot damn damage guns just isnât accurate. That idea only works if you instantly perfectly lazer down enemies the moment you see them. Guns arenât perfectly accurate, especially if youâre moving while shooting (original comment was written in context of LMGs but Iâd imagine the concept still applies). The human aiming the gun isnât perfectly accurate, especially when you have recoil to to deal with. A higher rate of fire even with a 1 hit KO weapon is still useful as it gives you âmore chancesâ per second, for a lack of better words, to land that hit.
Oh so explain why the hell AVT 40 20 is overall better than FG42 II? why is also FG42 II useless when it comes to competitive and why T20 and AVT are the main weapons used on those scenarios?
lower ROF makes it easier to control recoil and adjust your crosshair. that is why lower ROF is preferable on SF rifles. not to mention they have relatively small mag capacity, so even burst fire fires 1-2 more bullets than needed.
