You didn’t read what I wrote… I clearly stated combatants… Germany, USA and UK all where relegated to rear lines, logistics, they were not involved in combat.
There were a few cases in Germany but this was late in the war and more of circumstances than policy.

So not spending what would probably be a significant proportion of the monthly budget of the studio on implementing this would be disgusting? To have people just earn the food on their table instead of doing this? They have huge amounts of work to do to make this game a success.
It’s not like we cannot remember and respect their actions in real life either. Putting them in the game only for them to get shot up again is hardly celebrating it as well. Why do you want to kill these women in the game?

I think question of numbers is misleading - fewer people flew stukas in WW2 than there were frontline female soldiers but we have no problem with having stuka pilots in the game!
the question of resources is reasonable - I have no idea how much it takes to create a range of female soldier graphics so can’t really comment on that.
Suggestions such as “keep it a sausage fest” are just bloody stupid pathetic incel bullshit, and point to the sort of misogynistic disrespect and bad behavior we can probably expect from a lot of gamers, and that is pretty much the only reason for not introducing them at this time IMO.

Knowing from experience, if they are true AAA quality assets, and are not already at least partially created from CURSED TOAD, it would cost up to ~1k USK per model, with there being around 10 or so models needed for the soldier generation to give some variance so 10k USD. Keep in mind the devs are (I think?) Latvian So it might be more or less expensive there.

Is the game so boring that we have to come up with more stuff to bog it down? Why did the subject of women even have to be brought up as I am sure there is much more to deal with in this closed beta without adding aggravation and work to the game? Also how much will the addition of women add to the cost of the game? Who is expected to pay this extra? Us players? If a female catches wind of this discussion you can bet there will be problems of discrimination,etc.

I don’t mind if they don’t do it. I don’t mind if they do it in a very limited way. I do mind if they make it so you can have a full female squad lineup. Again this shouldn’t be a must do thing, they can take there time, I don’t mind, this isn’t a make or break for me.
It was more a “I would like to see at some point” I would 1000% rather see new weapons/ balances and maps come first, but thought it would be a nice little nod.

This is not a small studio, who is working with bread and water in Siberia. A developer doesn’t do programming and modelling at the same time and usually characters artists are specialize modelers they are usually just focus on this aspect, so this resource needs to be continuously developing characters to make the most of it.
Plus this studio already created like over 2 dozens or so of unique characters for the looks although it looks more like a character generator similar to meta-human.

There’s like 5 different faces total and after that it’s just outfit swaps.
Pointless and adds nothing to the game. Prototype or rare guns add new guns to the game that are different then the ones we currently have. Women character models would only be a cosmetic change and add nothing new to the game at all. Currently the Normandy campaign is full place holder weapons and the bots are still dumb as a bag of bricks, those should be worked on before minor cosmetic changes.
Once the game is out of beta they could do some woman day event where you get some lady sniper and everyone can talk about how amazing they are but before that the focus should be on making the game play well and be balanced.

Holy hell here come the liberals. Look, this game is about historical accuracy. OK? We aren’t responsible for history. Take it up with someone else. In all the battles featured in war games no women are recorded in any frontline roles. Watch the footage. Watch World at War. The soviets had some women snipers but if the game put women snipers in they would be everywhere in the game and that simply wasn’t the case in history. Please get off of your social justice platform and look at what happened on the front line in the vast majority of cases.
Also, of those 800,000 Soviet women most were medics. About 300,000 served in anti-aircraft units. A small percentage were pilots. Women were not fighting on the front line with enemy soldiers. Which is what the game is all about.

jokes aside, fair point. as said before, i don’t really mind it. but i prefer those resourches be used somewhere else. because if you think about it. if a squad present with female soldiers, i bet my A** off that it will be for some sort of premium squads, massive people will buy them, and just like for the weapon, it will overpresent the whole battles and become just like BFV. not necesarelly for female skins ( i hope for the gamers humanity ) but because hey, premium squad. easy win.
