Explosive packs have become a major balancing issue in Enlisted, and it’s seriously impacting the overall gameplay experience. Right now, they’re far too versatile and powerful—effectively serving as both anti-tank and anti-infantry tools with minimal downsides. This leads to unrealistic and frustrating scenarios where tanks, which should be powerful and strategic assets, are constantly being taken out by lone infantry tossing packs like grenades. It also encourages a spammy playstyle where skill and positioning take a backseat to simply lobbing explosives. To preserve tactical depth and encourage more diverse combat strategies, explosive packs need to be nerfed—whether that means reducing their blast radius, limiting their availability, or requiring more precise placement to destroy vehicles.
They already got nerfed. They have less infantry killing capabilities than before.
I wouldn’t mind them being restricted to only certain classes, like AT Troops. Maybe it would reduce grey zone camping if Tankers knew they didn’t have to worry as much about getting det packed by basically any infantry player on the enemy team regardless of the squad type they are using.
I say the opposite just make them anti tank, we have impact, frag, Molotov for infantry killing let the kill just the soldier they kill but no more. As for restriction to at not until they give more squad slots for free.
I don’t how I feel about nerfing Explosive pack, I sometimes find myself in situations where I’m up against an tank or found an APC and don’t have an AT Gunner. I think they’re fine right now honestly
If explosive packs are a worse grenade and can’t kill tanks they have no function. What if it was a scatter nade like you throw it, breaks up into TNT sticks over a large area a shotgun grenade…
Other then that it either needs to be
A super grenade
B at grenade
C. A super anti sand bag. Barb wire, at barrier grenade
No you don’t get to nerf it into being useless d no option
Have they really?
A long time ago this issue was solved by removing the shrapnel from them , since then there has been rather few complains about them
Explosive Packs should only be really effective against Engineer structures
Actual AT grenades should be added
But there not, Barb wire most of the time, sandbags 50?50,?at barriers not at all,no would give up anti tank if I could clear engie structures. Especially if I could get at grenades.
Well, you still can equip Molotov or TNT. (I don’t have much experience with Molotov Vs tank though so it may require a buff.)
Haven’t tried Molotovs, but I use the Anti personal mines, much more useful
Yeah, i think explosive packs being restricted to AT wouldn’t be a bad idea. We should encourage tanks to drive closer, and every infantryman having potentially a ranged AT attack is too much.
No. Not unless we are free to trade as many explosive packs as we want for AT grenades.
I enjoy explosive packs as they are. They’re a reasonably fucntional way of removing a tank (for the most part), and they still work pretty well against infantry. Nerfing them any futher would just make them less than useless. And I don’t think they should be sanctioned into a particular infantry class either.
Just my tuppence.
Tbh I don’t see why this is an issue. I haven’t used detpack in over a year, they are far from “needed for balance”. (Or at least when I didn’t forgot to change loadout when using some old squad.)
I use a lot of TNT in it’s place and imo it’s infinitely better gameplay. Charging a tank with a in hand is a nice adrenaline rush.
Explosion packs IMOP are fine the way they are. We already turned AP mines into essentially Mosquito bites, so, leave the Explosion packs, grenades ect. alone.
Det packs are fine, please leave them alone They are rubbish at taking out troops, and there are plenty of tanks that require more than a few packs to kill them.
Infantry need to run very close and the explosive pack takes 6 seconds to explode, to be honest, TNT is better.
Another difference: The explosive pack only has a penetration capability of 35mm, while TNT has a penetration capability of 42mm
Not to mention that half the time I throw an explosion pack at enemy troops it gets tossed right back at me.
Spooge they are nearly as bad as firing a bazooka round into a room full of bots and only killing one if you are lucky
No - someone just got a couple of tanks killed by them and is venting about how unfair that is.
