yes, they oneshot tanks, but they are very inconsistent

im not saying there shouldn’t be a high explosive hand held grenade that can blow up tanks… im just saying fucking dynamite isn’t a realistic explosive for that… RDX based plastique on the other hand i would be able to believe a hand held charge could blow the shit out of a tank

main problem everyone has when dealing with tanks is the fact that the most effective method of dealing with tanks isn’t an AT weapon its just a normal fucking throw-able pack of dynamite… even tanks have a harder time taking out other tanks when someone has throwing a explosion pack at a tank

AT Gunners Launchers are worse then explosion packs
Tanks AP Shells are worse then explosion packs
Tanks HEAT Shells are worse then explosion packs
AT mines are worse then explosion packs

sounds like we have an entire section of shitty non effective AT weapons and since the explosion pack is soo powerful its become the new meta for everyone to run…

yea i know iv made a lot of threads about explosion packs… its because they are fucking stupidly unrealistic explosives for what they are… ANFO Dynamite may be a powerful blasting charge but it works like shit against heavy armour… high explosive RDX based C-3 on the other hand has nearly triple the amount of explosive power that same quantity of dynamite has…

They are fine with the way they are now. It gives new players a fighting chance since they won’t have access to AT Weapons for awhile.

how the fuck does it make sense that the best AT weapon is given to you by default at level 0 and as you level further end up getting more AT weapons that work far shittier then your level 0 hand held mininuke…

oh there’s a lot of people who think the same and have opened up topics about it… im just most consistent and im the only one who actually want’s a specific AT restricted hand held explosive for blowing up tanks… something used on a large scale to blow up tanks on every side… each side had their own name for it but it was basically the same composition… a mould-able RDX & PETN based plastique explosive germany’s equivalent was seismoplast 1

they were used in things called ā€œM37 Demolition Kitsā€ or ā€œSatchel Chargesā€
these charges were used to great effect against heavily armoured vehicles or emplacements they contained on average 4 kg (8.8 lb) of explosive… faaarr more explosives then the Explosion Pack and the type of explosive used in plastique is far more violent

i think a better idea would be to buff the other AT option, rahter than nerfing detpacks

well yea all other AT needs to work better cause right now they basically do fuck all against tanks, but the detpacks definitely need to be nerfed a bit at least against tanks… in place of detpacks im proposing a grenade that can only be equipped by AT Gunners called the ā€œSatchel Chargeā€ or w.e the historical equivalent is for that army, and this grenade will be the grenade that kills tanks like how the current detpack works…

The AT Weapons at the moment aren’t the best and maybe not the preferable way of dealing with tanks. You still have to consider new players encountering tanks such as Panthers and Jumbos and ways to deal with them.

if our AT launchers actually worked with some efficiency newer players would just have to mark the tank to deal with it… as it is i gotta go fuckin Jean-Claude Van Damme as i run in cooking an explosion pack to deal with tanks… its easy but fuck its stupidly unrealistic

would add a sense of realism to the game if AT Gunners were actually a tankers worst nightmare… and not just some mosquito that kinda pinches but doesn’t really hurt

Tanks are supposed to be more powerful than a regular infantry squad, if not it would be pointless to set the ā€œmax 2 vehicles per squadā€ limit.

Not saying invulnerable, just more a threat as it really was

my exact fucking point… every solder from infantry to snipers can equip Explosion packs and explosion packs absolutely decimate all tanks instantly…
