Explosion Packs are too powerful

like straight up i just went fucking hannibal lecter on tanks with explosion packs just to make this point

like the fucked part about the whole thing is 1 explosion pack is more powerful then 6 M1 Bazooka shots… its like why the fuck even have an AT Gunner if the AT Gunner has shittier AT weapons then an explosion pack…

i could understand handheld explosives blowing up a tank if it was RDX based Composition C… but not with Dynamite…

the bazooka is 30.00 mm caliber, so it is not as effective

  1. Damage models have too much jank for realistic AT grenade modeling

  2. Players, especially on console, don’t make good use of explosive packs as it is. That aligns with the Darkflow-Gaijin balancing philosophy of balancing things for how they actually get used as opposed to how they should get used.

the M1 Bazooka had enough high explosives to decimate pillboxes… it had a 3.5 lb shaped charge…

The splash damage on shaped charges were nerfed in CBT. Probably because they defeated the purpose of rifle grenades.

yea i could tell… they were seemingly fucking useless for anti-infantry as well

yes but it costs too much to destroy even a cougar, currently the piat is much better

…more like fuck the PIAT… and the AT Gunner altogether and just equip a large grenade pack on a regular soldier… then you can take out 3 tanks with 1 guy instead of potentially 1…

I use the piat with my antitank trooper, with his big grenade bag. I take out the maximum potential and end up terrorizing the poor enemy tanks

though most of the terror comes from the 3 explosion packs which any soldier can equip… the PIAT sure can deal with lighter tanks but when it comes to anything with armour your shots just fuckin disintegrate upon contact

hmmm ive never found them too powerful

so your telling me walking around with this in your pocket

isn’t a little overpowered…

In fact, I do not know like that, you must attack on its sides or where the ammunition is located, the fuel tank, attacking those places with 1-2 shots will be enough to kill any tank, in the worst case that nothing works you point the engine to catch fire and thus force the crew to get off the tank and kill them

I can only see one player on the other team whose scores look like a tanker and he had 8 squad deaths. There are ways to avoid the det packs, maybe this player was in the middle of the action.
Often, infantry with det packs can’t even get close enough to the tanks that are OoB the entire match.
IMO, it’s tanks that are too OP not Det Packs

yea but that dont happen the m1 bazooka has 2mm pen in game its broke to all hell it should be 76 mms of pen and they have the wrong size of the war head as stated earlier its a 60 mm war head not 30 mm like in game

Good. The only good tank is a dead tank

People already cry about tanks a ton, nerfing det packs would create a huge problem when it comes to destroying them. Tanks NEED friendly infantry to keep them safe and that is how it should be! If infantry couldn’t destroy tanks with something that every soldier can carry in their pocket what’d stop someone from jumping into a Puma and running over your whole team full speed with absolutely nothing you could do about it? We need them so tanks are not actually as OP as the people who refuse to accept our lord and savior det packs make them out to be.

is that it is the friend variant, currently we have the bazooka m1 and in the future they will add the bazooka m9 and I guess that bazooka will have those characteristics
