Bottom line is yes, its an advantage.
Just one I dont notice at all personally, As I use alot of Rifles, aim high, and double tap.
Im sure it may bother others, more notably smg users.
If anything Id just slap a movement speed penalty on it.
Just give it a little time. No doubt some absolute beasts will show up (I love the IL-2s)

Russia has some great CAS aircraft but not âa fast fighter with good bomb loadâ. Maybe they have 1 somewhere but not nearly as much as Germany or USA who has: P-51D, P-47, Tempest, F-6F (premium and event). An attacker but for most purposes a âfast fighter with good bomb loadâ too is the Mosquito and all thought I havenât tried it, the Beaufighter.
IL-2âs are probably the only thing coming close but really more of attackers than fighters. P-40 has a good bomb load but still, all the fighters Iâve mentioned for the US outperform it.
This is something I appreciate actually in Enlisted. Hate it when games copy every capability one for one across nations/factions. US CAS potential on fighters is already nerfed because in real life the US fighters mentioned would have 2 or 3 times the load out in Enlisted but still they kept the iconic CAS Fighters for the US alive. A balancing act like that is understandable since they are still the best CAS Fighters in the game.

Ah you mean fighter. gets a bit muddy between strike fighters, heavy fighters, night fighters and whatever lol.
Soviets have nice fighters, but as you say they dont tend to do the rediculous payloads that the Americans like. But they certainly put big guns on their planes and some have decent enough payloads
Yak-9B is a solid choice. 4x 100kg bombs in internal bomb bay.

Stalinium is real, IS 2 for example can bounce 200+ penetration shots on armor that actually would have no more than maybe 120mm of effective armor.
Yet, I wouldnât call that âimbalanceâ, since it is fighting King Tigers - which should be vastly supperior.
Right now I dont see a massive balance problem for the factions.
We have FGs AVTs Ppsh STG and such which are all rather equally powerful.
T34 still kinda rocks too much against Panzer IV.

Doesnât really matter since berlin allies is complete bot faction, with exception of 4 stacks from time to time.
And 4 stacks are rarely using starter armament anyway.

You know thatâs the thing, we have these one sided campaigns exactly because of that, German mains that like tanking are all playing Berlin, because they dont want to deal with T34s in Stalingrad and Moscow.
While Soviets donât want to play with their crappy IS2, because despite all the recent buffs, it still reloads for ever and in a game where tank penetration is extremely âinconsistentâ you only get one shot.

Thatâs not true, I am german tank main and I despise berlin. Itâs the most unfun campaign in whole game.
The most fun to play german tanks is Moscow. But I am saying this for perspective of paying player and owner of premiums with HEATs.
Itâs pretty sad, the Berlin is currently the only campaign with Tiger II, JP and so⌠I hope I can often use these vehicles on different maps after merge. I donât want to be top tier just 24/7 berlin. That would be pretty lame.
Btw. Thereâs nothing more boring and annoying than be defender against full of team of bots. Feels like eternity and itâs extremely painful. And that is happening constantly in Berlin atm.

The problem with what youâre saying is that the US doesnât fight the Soviets in this game, so it doesnât matter exactly if they have paratroopers or not.
They always bring things that are irrelevant to defend the indefensible.
