well, it really messes up the game for the people you bail on. Best to just not spawn a tank in that case.
I would much rather (along with 50% of the forum) they remove all deserter penalties and they just reward us instead. Counter strike has no deserter penalties, Hell Let Loose has none, Battlefield V has none (that I know of).
I will carry the next match and a match after that. So my karma is still very high.
Disagree but not gonna debate that here.
personally i dont care.
the games content is stale with most vets having completed everything in the game.
whats to get punished for?
lack of research? most have at least 1m stockpiled
silver? most have min/maxed all the loadouts and presets
Regardless of penalties, if I can’t ban Stalingrad/Rzhev on BR 3-4 and 4-5, I’ll always desert.
Wasnt this on the Roadmap from the start?
I feel like they should reconsider penalties and instead introduce rewards for staying the entire match.
Expected it. And used to it…long time warthunder player…not a big deal at all to me…i just play it out…
Goes for the map veto system too…unfortunately
It is not a good idea to reward the stay player.not all people is kind,if some people want to get reward then try to use Molotov or flamethrower to attack the teamworker to quit?
It could not change the fact that few people to confront more enemy,we are enjoying the game and not be a slave of reward.
DF need to know why player want desert and try to solve it.before solve the problem better don’t consider anything about desert punishment.
The carrot approach won’t work if a large % of the playerbase is already maxed out XP/Silver.
Putting Desertions into player stats, and making stats public, would discourage those who desert to statpad win %.
Sanction wise, if a player deserts 3 times within in an hour (moving/running total) they could get a 20min time out. I feel that would address the worst offenders without harsh sanctions for timout/desert to answer the phone/door (or nagging wife/parent )
Good idea, a game should not let you play the game. Always good for the game statistics.
I detect sarcasm
Do you think serial deserters are better for the game than sanctioning deserters? Stronk logic.
They aint gonna turn unbalanced matches into wins all of a sudden.
Also, you play games for your fun, not for the fun of nine other people, that could be bots if you turn crossplay off on consoles.
Stronk logic usually tries to find causes for desertion, but I guess that is too stronk for certain people.
If they try just enough, people won’t just desert the battle. Perhaps they can work to fix the root cause instead and find ways to inspire joining the game rather than leave it altogether. Minimal effort usually produces minimal results.
actually it is not even 1 year old… there are still few weeks till 1 year
erm…
but on other hand CS also has map selection and elo rating so you play on your skill level, so there is really no reason to quit(unless you get cheater in match).
That would be better your comment. Instead of punishing, which seems to be a fetish around here. They can simply improve one’s rewards. Thus, reasons to stay. Why punish? That will just lead to lower and lower numbers of overall players. And thus, the game dies… Unless thats the goal?
Who plays competitive anyway? I was referring to casual, because that’s what Enlisted is…a casual “multiplayer” game where the average age of the players is…better left unsaid. Most people have other commitments and if the game goes overtime, they sort’ve have no choice but to leave. We shouldn’t be punishing those people (in all reality coward deserters are a relatively small group).
And adding bonuses does work as motivation to stay. People keep bringing up the “what about the vets that have unlocked everything argument”, but if that’s the case, why are you still playing? Most vets I’ve talked to only play like once a month when the new event is out. There’s always custom games if you want a new experience. I think the majority of players are actually low tier now.
I have actually mentioned this many times before:
For every additional deserter added to the team during settlement, the player who persists in the battle will receive a 10% increase in earnings (up to a maximum increase of 90%, as there can only be a maximum of 9 deserters in the team). This multiplier is not too high, because if there are 9 deserters in your team, you will definitely lose the game within a few minutes.
"The number of deserters=10- the number of players who persist in fighting ",It must be calculated during settlement, as there may still be players joining midway.
This will stop the behavior of ‘serial deserters’, as players who persist in fighting will be more willing to work hard to win due to the increase in rewards, and players who are forced to stay due to boosters will also feel much better.
I much prefer a flat rate of 50%. Maybe additional 10% bonuses for each person who deserts, but I think the flat rate would be best. Imagine this: 50% for choosing any faction, 50% for staying to the end, and 50% for victory. That’s a 150% bonus without even having a multiplier.
