Event weapon: Fedorov Avtomat (1916/1919) with 10/15 rounds as BR2 assault rifle

  1. As stated in the quote above, allegedly, the Fedorov Avtomat we have in Enlisted is a Soviet-made improved 1920s version? (I don’t think the model is correct then, though).

In any case, The original WW1 Fedorov Avtomat model 1916 or 1919 could be added with BR2 stats as a performance-wise more historically accurate EVENT weapon (NOT tech tree).

  2. Fedorov Avtomat model 1916 reportedly had a version with a 15 rounds magazine and didn’t have the metallic front portion of fore stock:

Fedorov Avtomat model 1919 had a version with a 10 rounds magazine:

  3. Unlike BR5’s Fedorov Avtomat (which I won’t use in late war battles), Fedorov Avtomat 1916/1919 would have much worse stats, suitable for BR2 and early war battles.

  4. My Soviet Assault Engineers squad is collecting dust without any use (since I won’t use Fedorov Avtomat in late war battles or AS-44 in general), and Fedorov Avtomat 1916/1919 would give life to this squad on BR2 (and for me in general).

  5. Germany has an “assault rifle” MkB 35 III on BR2, and Fedorov Avtomat 1916/1919 could be a direct counterpart (with identical stats, for all I care).

  6. Obviously a BR2 assault rifle shouldn’t be added to the tech tree, and should be limited to 2-4 items via an event.

  7. There is historical data showing that Fedorov Avtomat’s last use was during Winter War and Moscow Regional Defence Militia stockpiles, so it’s limited deployment in early war scenarios would not be as insane as in Berlin.

  8. Barely controllable full auto recoil/dispersion and relatively low rate on BR2 of fire would represent the real Fedorov Avtomat much more realistically than it’s steroid laser beam version of BR5.

  9. My original proposal was to nerf and reclassify BR5’s Fedorov Avtomat down to BR2, but evidently removal of already added content is never going to happen.

Now then, how would BR2 Fedorov Avtomat (1916/1919) be different from BR5 Fedorov Avtomat (1923):

A) Fore stock configuration (1916 had pure wood stock while 1919 and 1923 had metal reinforcements):

B) Sights (1916/1919 - ladder sight with a long vertical bar, 1923 - sector sights):

C) Stats (lowest realistically possible stats for 1916/1919 to reflect the flimsy and unreliable nature of the early weapon variant and strong recoil from automatic fire, which was not even advised by Fedorov himself) – as similar to MkB 35/III as possible.

NB: the Fedorov Avtomat model we have in the game seems to be not the 1923 version as claimed by @Euthymia07-live , but an earlier one, as evident by the vertical sights:

1923 sights should look like this:

Final visualization:

Option 1:
BR2 Fedorov Avtomat (1916) (EVENT) (alleged 15 rounds magazine)

Option 2 (preferred):
BR2 Fedorov Avtomat (1919) (EVENT) (confirmed 10 rounds magazine)

PS
Since I am not as much of a weapons expert, I invite @_DELAVR and @Декард to share their expertise as well.

Cheers.

Can you not give them like a PPSh or something?

Nope, they can only use ARs and everything else that normal engineers can.

More content - is better for sure

Maybe something close to MKB35 - will be fine

Love the detail and the research - yeah would be a very fun add. Full support!

They should be able to use SMGs too… more viable in low BRs, then both Japan and USA could get similar squads too…

No thanks bro
Can we stop trying to put BR5 weapons into BR2 and stuff, thinking that it will be at all balanced with a 15 round magazine?

I have far too many premium squads collecting dust since we can’t change their weapons and I don’t need them at the level the Dev’s make us use them at, but if I could switch weapons, even with TT weapons only I could use a lot of the squads I paid for that will never be used other then on the practice range.

I wish the Dev’s would allow all engineers to carry assault rifles, then I would have a spot for my MKB 35’s as I have five, but because of their slow rate of fire I prefer to use smg’s over them with assaulters.

Obviously itd need to be nerf3d like the mkb. I support adding event federov to act similar to mkb

I literally said MKB 35 stats? Which is BR2.

Fedorov Avtomat on BR5 is insanity – it always had crazy recoil and spread, that’s why even Fedorov himself advised against full auto fire.

More assault rifles? yess!
If its stats are closer to MKB, the 15 round magazine is better. If its stats are closer to the current Fedorov, the 10 round magazine.

Fedorov should be a BR2 weapon since start, BR5 Fedorov is a fantasy Star Wars weapon.

that’s what will end in japanese hands, they captured a few in a lake, it will be fun!

Automatic Rifle

So even a shitty german mkb35 just must have direct counterpart in sovjet arsenal ?

Mkb 35 is overrated
I regret that I bought them.
Again, Imba will be given USSR 2br of advice :grin::grin:

crazy recoil and spread

Holy skill issue. 16/5 is super manageable and it is the most accurate Assault Rifle with .25 dispersion.

What?

I said I don’t use Fedorov.

Crazy recoil and spread refer to its real life performance.

He clearly ment in real life, not in the game…
