You forgot the ground attackers xD USSR ground attacker is much better then Japan while the fighters and the tanks are balanced the ground attackers are absolutely in USSR favor.

The worst event ever. Everything was one-sided.

I hate the Grey zones in this event!

Probably the worst event that I have ever subjected myself to.
The main issue is how terribly the squads are built. Why do so many soldiers have 2 or 3 medkits and no medkit use speed? Why do the high rpm SMGs not have large ammo packs to feed them? Why is not a single sword or funny AT stick given to the Japanese? Why doesn’t a single soviet soldier have body armor? Auto equip would genuinely produce better results. The lack of explosive packs is the worst. Every single player was given an apc, but the means to destroy those apcs are rare. The AT launchers can’t even reliably destroy them. Sometimes you can shoot a truck 3 times and not kill it. This isn’t a huge issue in the normal game because most good players have an explosive pack on every soldier. But in the event god damn. The sheer frustration of getting behind the enemy and not being able to kill 3 apcs because of gaijin’s incompetence is painful.

worst grind fest I’ve ever have tortured myself to play… tomorrow is finally the last day and this was just torture. 2h+ speed grinding per day, not enjoying the game for even 1s. This has become nearly as discusting grind as war thunder that I stopped playing and supporting after prob 13 years (version 1.31 of the game). thankfully the revard vehicle for the next BP is a BR1 plane so I can take a brake a not buy the BP or new premium time

I have to grind a few more days because I missed 2 days

Pretty sure that shit was intentional so people would buy that booster for 900 gold lol. I stopped playing that bs after getting the first reward, because an useless bike and an unused tank wasnt worth all of that time and pain

I’m not the only one that noticed how even though you can’t choose which army you’ll enter as, the Japanese lobbies are still filled with AI?

im about to get the tank and I can’t wait to kill allies noobs in br5

I don’t think the complaints about squad balance or tailoring hold much weight. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve managed to unlock almost all the squads—only Japanese Engineers II are still missing—and I’ve made solid progress on unlocking equipment for each of them.

I don’t typically play Soviets or Japanese, so my research and gear for those factions is fairly limited. Still, this event has allowed me to unlock nearly all of their squads, including Soviet and Japanese AT II, Assault II, MG I, the trucks, and even the Japanese motorbike. Leveling up these pre-made squads during the event is also significantly easier compared to grinding through normal matches with low-level squads.

Overall, moving up to the next level takes about 3 good matches or up to 6 bad ones—not a terrible grind. With randomized teams, I’ve been both winning and losing on both sides, Soviet and Japanese—it doesn’t feel one-sided to me. And yes, like most of you, I would definitely tweak or tailor these squads differently if given the option.

That said, I do think the matchmaking and the fund accumulation aspect of the event could be much better handled. But when it comes to squad leveling, this event has been good.

The only things I really don’t like are the Japanese bomber—it’s far too easy to shoot down—and the Type 4 rifle, which regularly bugs out during reloads. This issue seems to affect all my semi-autos that reload using two clips.

It is also honestly a bit absurd to see Japanese-Soviet battles playing out on the same reused maps.

I strongly agree, so I am also willing to call this incident one of the most disgusting activities. I remember in the “modern war” in Tunisia, we all had soldiers who ran very fast, not as bad as they are now. They don’t even want to carry ammunition bags for the assault soldiers!Their weapons are also a mess, and it’s almost impossible for you to use the same equipment after switching to the next soldier. It’s completely torturous!

Oh, don’t forget, they also added score requirements for the task. And if you want to get rewards, you have to play this terrible mode every day. :-1:

but they were testing the 2 factions to see how they would perform if a whole front was added. the no perks and limited weapons is dreadful but its not as bad as the April fools event in my eyes also it gives new players with 4 squad slots the ability to play with more options while also upgrading 2 factions squads and research

Agreed and i have it on hard difficulty. My internet is so bad that i usually get 1000 score per game and 8 out of 10 games i get kicked due to my connection. Not to even mention that the event itself is horribly designed. You have to play every day, worst maps in the entire game, terrible squad loadouts, horribly imbalanced and overall very unfun. I actually saw couple guys farming points in a very clever way. They were on the opposite teams and calling air supply drops constantly while sitting in a AA gun shooting them down the whole game.
