Enlisted Rivalries

So what are Enlisted comparable to?Hell let loose,Post Scriptum,Rising Storm 2 or even Squad probably?

None of them.
Maybe HnG and BF2042 to some extend.

God damn i remember when this game had a possibility of becoming on of the best world war 2 shooters that was free to play at the time way back in 2011 however the developers just fucked it up.

So much potential was pissed away by usless devs >w>

yeah the campaign was one of its kind to for sure and one of the best Campaign player driven mechanic ive ever seen in such genre next to RO2 which is bit basic in comparison but still good

Despite what people say, Hell Let Loose is absolutely a competitor, and the biggest one IMO. Theyre both WW2 FPS’s with a focus on historical(ish) accuracy, and that alone makes them compete with one another. The fact that HLL is more tactical than Enlisted doesn’t somehow make it less of a competitor; that’s like saying Battlefield and CoD don’t compete with each other because Battlefield has tanks.

Regardless, Enlisted is unique enough to not really need to worry about HLL because its not like HLL is a better version of Enlisted, it’s still quite different and theres absolutely room for both. The games industry isn’t like other industries in terms of competition because playing one game doesn’t exclude you from playing another. It’s not like buying a vacuum cleaner where you’re only going to have one and so theres direct competition. Someone who enjoys Enlisted can absolutely enjoy HLL as well

Not sure if that one checks out Chief. They both play way to differently. Cod and BF are both casual shooters but Enlisted is more of a casual game while HLL is more of a casual milsim.

Not really.
HLL is a walk sim and unlike in Enlisted you cant spam autos, tanks, planes, explosive and sprint and reload and fire while bunny-hopping. Roles are also… very different here. And if I remember correctly rounds are way longer than here and that should say something. Enlisted is not even close to RS2/ RO in terms of gameplay…
And lol. The vast majority of the players here cant even use the engineer and fail to understand the concept of attack/ defense and you say they would have as much fun in HLL too?

God no…
Tanks are Feature, not core gameplay (and wrong again cause the last two CoDs before Vanguard actually have tanks lol) .

Enlisted is no Red Orchestra 2 successor to me as this is a hybrid WWII shooter that borrows some elements from other WWII shooters like RO2(invasion being somewhat like territory with some done differently), RS2(rally point system just like North Vietnam’s tunnels), War Thunder(tank combat where you have to aim for weakspots unlike Battlefield), Brothers in Arms(some of the squad system but not much option to micro individual soldiers through specific orders yet) and some other shooters too.

Having the right amount of realism like what Red Orchestra 2 offered is very difficult issue its just like finding the right taste of coffee like not too bitter and not too sweet.

weird since i got the same feeling that i got from RO2 ^^ Tanks totally OP and slaughtering everything in its way with frustrated campers on the other side, artillery everywhere (even if arty is more bang in the RO series) Here we got planes for that firecrackelacking…And especially with the bots xD Starting to think the bots from RO migrated to become stars in this one instead, except they had evolved with buying hacks

Both games also got splendid map designs along with atmosphere. Enlisted got the characters more personal in my opinion with great original voice lines

unfortunately, there is no real comparable real threatening competitor as far as I know.

Hng it’s actually the game that shares most of the current game design.

If it’s worth or not to play it, depends on the point of view, I played it since alpha till 2020, daily and I would say hng it’s the closest game in the market to enlisted

game design ofc.

I have tons of players in my discord who play both and enjoy playing both. Again, games don’t need to be carbon copies of one another to be competitors, they can compete in a myriad of ways. Hell Let Loose and Enlisted are both WW2 FPS’s with a focus on historical accuracy, and that’s going to naturally pull from the same pool of players who want that experience. That’s competition.

uh what? are you unironically trying to say BF and COD don’t compete with each other? That’s a hot take to say the least. Also, weren’t the tanks in CoD WW2 on rails, not actually player controlled? Last CoD I remember with fully controlled tanks was World at War

Last cod I played with tanks was actually cod3 on ps2 lmao.

Didn’t even knew they had tanks on the other ww2 games after it.

And yes, cod will always be the rival of batlefield.
It’s actually one of many selling arguments of that games. Witch one will people buy this year…
