yes, meaning poorly balanced with guns that dominate the meta and cheap deaths and cheaper tactics

Bots dont have to be terminators, just actively engaged and immersive. But yeah, needs alot of attention.

Also bigaction is great and is the potential im waiting for…give it xp and im playing that

The Original Enlisted was a really ambitious project with a super innovative concept:

Quote from 2020:

Other online shooters are basically sports-like competitions with one team fighting against the other with the background set or decor of a particular historical period, but it’s not a battle, it has nothing to do with the objectives that soldiers had in real warfare. The desire to actually “walk in a real soldier’s boots”, to be victorious against the opponent - the opponent being a real person - this is what we as players seek in these games but never find. We want to not only create “arenas” for a 15x15-30X30 team fight, but create scenarios that have tactics similar to real combat missions.

Battles involving equal teams in equal conditions are, of course, interesting as a competition. But they do not have the immersion or the thrill of real battle, where balanced forces and symmetrical objectives are unlikely.

The other feature of “Enlisted” is detailed accuracy in every battle. You may be a defender of Moscow in the trenches dug around the city, facing advancing enemy tanks and superior forces, with an objective to hold the enemy, to stop the advancing army in its tracks with all the resources you have. Your task is not to kill every enemy soldier; imagine being a member of the landing operation with an objective of capturing a foothold and mounting defenses, making it possible for the main forces to land on the continent, or, on the contrary - defend against the landing party, or lead your troops so that they arrive in time to a strategic point. This is something one can experience in single-player games but not in online game with human opponents.

Unfortunately, it has succumbed to a Call of Duty level of “WW2 backdrop” where a Panther tank disguised as an American M10 is time and space travelling to 1942 Stalingrad to fight against Soviets who magically adopted AS-44 and brought back Fedorov Avtomat from WW1.

yeah what makes them so awful is lack of responsiveness and authentic behaviour, if they are getting shot at they should actively search for cover and then fire back, don’t even get me started about their weird movement where they run and stop and run and stop as if they didn’t know themselves what they’re trying to do, it makes them look awful and even worse it makes them hard to kill because they dodge everything I don’t understand why isn’t it major issue for players I haven’t seen anyone complaining about that really it makes them really hard to kill with BA rifle etc, AI movement should be predictable to some extent, if they’re getting shot at you can expect them to run to nearest cover and this way shot at them efficiently with for example sniper rifle which you have to shoot in advance where they’re gonna be once round will reach them and right now playing sniper is pretty hard actually with how AI is moving so weird.

good summary, perfectly hits 80% of the problems

bro i keep yelling about the AI stutterstep every single time I play lul

yeah, they could do better with seeking cover…but bots will spot you and start blasting if you run in front of them or make noise they can hear, it’s not actually all that bad

And I don’t think making bots better at shooting long range is all that much of a good idea - they already can sometimes lazer you through 5 bushes which is extremely annoying to play against

Every weapon in Enlisted is historical.

The historical prototypes are still part of history. Whether you like it or not.

Pretty sure there are better and more popular fantasy shooters out there.

Didn’t age at all well.

That was what sold me… and failure to deliver is why I’m not a Premium any more.

The original premise of Enlisted is what drew me in, I was hooked

I’ve been waiting for the execution to reach the premise, but it has not happened yet. There have been many changes yes, but the core of the game feels the same as it did 4 years ago

They are now only focusing only on FOMO + adding new stuff to the existent pile + better graphics and details but without much improvement to the gameplay or the ai.

I wish we could have some dynamic map of Europe that you would be capturing like in Heroes and Generals but with addition of Asia.

Ai should be smarter seek cover, throw nades and shoot at you from longer distances but they need to stop aimbotting through the bushes (it happens all the time in the Normandy/Bulge)

we can have smarter ai when we have smarter players, sorry but good players can dominate enough i dont want enemies with triple digit kill counts to squad losses

Having potential means nothing.
Wrong people are steering the wheel
They have no idea or direction for future.
I also doubt they have any idea about real military tactics or game development .
You need examples ?
Dolphin diving was a thing then, they removed it.
So if they wanted more arcade they wouldnt do that …
But they f… up bipods so hard after high caliber that you can use them like assault rifles which is insane.
If they wanted realism they wouldnt do that …
But they also brought the idiotic new repairment system that has no place in a fast paced game whatsoever
They also f… up ai after high caliber and never fully fixed it. As a result they ,i think intentionally, turned bots to nothing but easy xp farms.
Then they introduced apcs without any significant changes regarding map design problems and they ended up easy xp pinatas for every anti tanker.
Dispersion rates are totally all over the place. Mp 38 is the most accurate smgs of german for example but way slower and less deadly fnab 43 has way more dispersion than mp38.
Paratroopers are not able to go beyond map limits but guerillas are.
I dont even want to mention hoe bad maps are. We are literally playing a combined arms game in cod sized maps for christ sake.
I can go on and on and on …
None of the big changes are consistent between eacht other neither with general gameplay.
There are 2 possibilities:

1-df really likes to troll his playerbase
2-df and /or his employees has no idea what they want to do with this game
This is very very bad news.
Having a direction ( wrong or not) is better than not having at all
Theirs actions cleraly show that they have no direction.

As a result we have a frankenstein monster

It’s Gameplay that is shit. Meaning actual combat play. Like Gun reloads being too fast, sniping, autoscope, runnning with weapons shooting, jumping, waayy too much stamina can sprint all time, Perks too much increase.
Game PACE needs to be slower for all the different elements to be of anything of use and come into it’s right element.

Take BR 5 with Tryhards full Assault Rifle Squads running around liek wild chicken all over oneshot autoaim everything laser pew pew. It’s horseshit.

Game pace needs to be slower that would fix most of it.
Then you’d have to worrie about taking cover, save your stamina for a short spring, be ready reloaded, provide covering fire, throw smoke on open ground, throw grenades wait and then enter buidlings. plan and execute strategies to take out vehicles.

THen Also should be something done about respawns. For me i’d like to see you could only spawn once with your Squads in the line-up. that would make it harder and more serious, having to really think about how you use ur Squads and would lead to more careful and strategic thinking and playing.

As of now yeas it’s wild goose chase not far away form horsesshit like CoD or Fortnite.

Then for me I’d like to See Squads, Weapons and Vehicles be locked to Campaigns aswell as having BR, that way we could add soem historical immersion back and better his historical matching.

that’s the 2 most important things for me to liek it more.

Make gamepace have more realism to bring the game to a more strategic gameplay
and
Historical matchups to being the immersion to where it should be

no, why f2p only have 4 squads
second enlisted is an arcade shooter not a mil sim like hell let loose
solo was phased out of the main lineup for a reason
games would not slow down they would just be much shorter
yes i would like it to be slower but not hell let loose slow
i do not want to spend 90% percent of the game traveling and 10 in combat

That’s such BS take.

If you don’t like the gameplay, why are you even playing the game?
There are many FPS games with slower pace for likes of you.

For example, I’m one of those people who definitely appreciate the fast-paced, action-packed, condensed gameplay of Enlisted.

I don’t want to spend 1 hour to just play one match. Which would consist of:
50% of the time just walking, 10% of the time shooting, 10% of the time reloading and 30% of the time doing nothing at all.
That’s why I don’t play Squad 44 or HLL.

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s bad gameplay. And that there aren’t players who appreciate it.

It just shows the illogic of your actions. It’s quite bizarre to spend time with a live service game of which you don’t enjoy the gameplay.
