Enginering vehicles

like the cultivator no 6, or the crab from Hobart’s funning a rolling drum with chains and weights used to clear mines or in enlisted everything short of tanks, bridge layers and more make
the engineer corps more then the sea bees of enlisted

Hobarts funnies,
Experimental vehicles built from tanks to clear the obstacles for d day,
tanks to clear mines, trenches, brb wire and more check wiki
as well as cultivator 6 a trench digging combat machine

I disagree. I think there is a whole lot of potential growth for enlisted if they lean into more strategic gameplay, rather than run-and-gun gameplay.

Vehicles like these could definitely play an important role.

also fun to see a truck with aviation fuel, become a fuel air bomb

The trench digging tanks would be useful but minesweepers and bridges wouldnt

a bad idea would be the goliath, the German tracked mine that was the UGV of its day, only downside was it was lightly armored and controlled by cable would fun to play but easily overpowered

I GREATLY disagree.

Bridges especially would come in handy in a number of maps, especially on Pacific. Additionally, they could be used to make improvised bunker systems by placing it over a deep trench.

Mine sweepers would be great if they ever allowed mine pouches. Every time I suggest them, everyone just complains about how hard they would be to counter. A minesweeper tank would fix that.

I have literally never died for at mines in my 2 years of playing.

Oh I don’t doubt that.

I even asked people how often they even encounter mines:

The general consensus is that they really aren’t used much, yet there seems to be certain people that are VERY vocal about having to deal with them.

I’ve explained in detail many times that they really aren’t too bad to go against, and are actually pretty necessary when trying to deal with paratroopers, or hard rush flamethrower teams. Yet they fight me tooth and nail when I suggest a backpack option for mine capacity increase, even though they themselves always carry grenade pouches…

If the number of not just AT mines were increased, but also AP mines, the minesweeper tanks would DEFINITELY have a use.

the trouble is in real life mines are planted in fields like potatoes, carrying one mine is well as a shot in the dark, the trouble is balance how many mine, area, dispersion, damage, it needs a boost or like shovels almost no one will use them, then we get are mine clearing tank buwhahaha

I was thinking about that playing D-Day when someone deliberately placed massive craters at all the entrances so that no vehicles could enter or exit. It would also be great to be able to destroy wrecks with engineer vehicles so that there are no more massive piles of vehicles blocking the paths.

yeah some maps looks like a traffic jam with the number of burning tanks
