Engineer III could unlock a build able grenade box that has 10 grenades in it and wire clippers for all engineer classes equip able in the special weapon slot for quickly removing any barbed wire with a single click also static deploy-able capacity increased to 20 sandbags 20 barbed wire & 12 czech hedgehogs place-able by engineer III
Grenade boxes sound broken unless you’re limited to reloading one grenade 30 seconds or something. Wire clippers sound cool. Foxholes/trenches will never happen, doubt they can dynamically modify the map like that.
the nade boxes i think should be limited by box capacity like there should only be 10 grenades per box and each grenade reloaded should count towards the capacity like if someone with a large grenade bag rolls up and reloads from it that would nearly half the boxes capacity in a single reload going from 10 to 7 from just a single person, though i have thought that maybe you should only be able to pickup 1 grenade at a time from the box so you’d have to hit the reload grenade button 3 times if you had a large nade pack
as for the shovel its a long shot but iv seen it done before… in a roblox game… so iv gotta believe its possible for this game also. the function of digging foxholes is just a matter of raising/lowering the ground level of the map in a specific location every time you dig it, to a maximum height/depth.
None of these things should require a whole seperate class - they should be high level squad improvements.
The whole type I/II/III system is ludicrous
I saw it in a game called Enlisted as well. (It’s in Tunisia, or am I missing something obvious?)
Oh yes 20.000xp for one squad level, no thanks no more soldier tier
Definitely no grenade replenishing. It will end up like the metro operation in BF, everybody camping corners and throwing as much grenades into the enemy as possible.
Holy shit thank you for this, I haven’t followed Tunisia at all so far and I wasn’t planning to touch it until it’s available to everyone (w/progression). This looks awesome.
I would be OK with grenade replenishment at regular spawn points. So if someone really wishes to get back his 5+ grenades, he needs to take a Jeep and drive a bit. This is something unrelated to Engineer III though.
would be interesting but i still feel like separate grenade crates would be much better since you’d be able to deploy them in more strategic locations like right on the capture point your defending or right beside an ammo crate, and yea maybe the shovel is ehh its just engineer III feels a little under equipped if the only upgrades you get are a small grenade crate and a pair of scissors… idk what if the engineer III has an increased deploy-able capacity so you can place double the amount of static deploy-ables so 20 sandbags 20 barbed wire & 12 czech hedgehogs .
Ok but imagine the game changes it would bring. More explosions, less chance to fight back.
Just like the plane bombs - properly cooked grenades make it impossible to be countered, and breaks gameplay for the receiving side.
lol grenades aren’t the problem its the overpowered deto packs that im also trying to get nerfed so im suicide bombing the shit out of everyone to piss people off… im glad its working.
yea you know that moment when a random guy runs up to your tank cooking a grenade just to chuck up at the wheelbase and kill himself but take your entire tank squad out at the same time only saccing 1 guy… that’s my technique… and it works remarkably well especially when you’ve got double stam increased stam regen and runspeed +10% perks… if i dedicate myself to tanks i walk out of games with nearly 10 tank kills
I don’t see much difference between detpacks and grenades. Both can kill infantry and (some) tanks, one is stronger, other is thrown farther. But having an excessive amount and replenishable source of them is like mortars, artillery and bombs were before the nerfs.
grenades cant scratch tanks even if you get the nade right under the track/wheelbase, deto packs are insanely overpowered… like iv had this discussion many times before… the deto pack is actually just a very small amount of dynamite… which is a chemical compound that will bounce off even a light tanks shell… if they made actual WW2 4kg plastique satchel charges for bombers that class might get used more now a 4kg bag of C4 will fuckin decimate a tank because the blast is nearly 100x stronger then that of a hand grenade
dynamite was used as blasting charges for bringing down bridges and walls and shit like that in WW2… they weren’t used as general purpose hand grenades… that’s what frags were for, like sure maybe when the supplies started running thin they woulda been throwing sticks of dynamite cause you use whatever’s on hand when your in a tight spot but they wouldn’t have been using them like that on a normal day.
Aye, I meant in-game, grenade and detpack blast radius seems quite similar to me. Will test it though.
detpack radius is soo much larger… why do you think nobody ever uses the mk 2 hand grenades
- nobody is an exaggeration, there are players who use it
- because detpack is an ultimate weapon, grenades are good against infantry only, against tanks it’s really unreliable/hard to use
I did replace most grenades because of thinking detpacks are better against tanks, but never ever tested whether it’s much better against infantry or not. Did you?
iv always thought it would be more realistic if they turned the detpacks into defensive mines that you can place all over and detonate with a hand crank blasting machine
and yea i tested which is better vs infantry and the deto pack is better cause its radius is larger… i walk into a populated enemy base cooking a deto pack they kill me i drop the pack and take out anywhere from 8-19 guys i can rinse and repeat that for as many guys as i have in my squad cause i only ever run in 1 at a time
I’m okay with a timed throwable detonation, but I’d be okay with anti-tank grenades as well instead of detpack. We already have mines, we still miss the remotely detonated and sticky ones.
lol mines thats a good joke if your talking about the AT mines… those piles of shit like never work… the AP mines aren’t too terrible but id like something that i can setup and wait like a little troll and blow it as the enemy runs in with his entire squad
