This squad, it sucks, and it’s not because of the equipment drop box or because of the individual soldiers.

It is because of their gun from Hell:

I have asked many times for this gun to be fixed, and it seems that they have ignored it. Many people dislike this gun, I dislike this gun, and since it is clear that devs will not fix this gun, it is time to do the next best thing, let them equip M1941 Johnson rifle.

The 1st Parachute Battalion unofficially received 23 M1941 Johnson Rifles before being shipped to Guadalcanal. Platoon Sgt. Harry M. Tully of the 1st Parachute Battalion used one of these rifles to kill 47 Japanese on Gavutu; he was awarded a Silver Star for this. The 2nd and 3rd Marine Paratrooper Battalions then requested for shipments of the M1941 Johnson rifle.

It is clear that the 1st Paratrooper Battalion was using M1941 Johnson rifles, so why not let the event USMC paratrooper squad use them? There is a historical basis, and it is reasonable in BR terms since they can switch back and forth between the M1A1 Carbine and the M1941 Johnson rifle. They aren’t getting to use every American gun, just the M1941 Johnson rifle, so there should be no real issue with this.

Giving them M1941 Johnson would put them at BR IV where no one would play them, just like the Italian squad.

is just a matter of camping and relax to make your shots
yes the sights are bad.
i shot it without aiming in cqc .
in long ranges i can relax and take my time.

Camping and relaxing your shots while someone waltzes up beside you and offs you is not my cup of tea, especially since this paratrooper squad.

i see a lot of people landing on the objective

i dont know, american sights are always awful since the “ghost ring”
cannot be simulated on videogames.

Well tbh, i def guilty of war crimes against my poor paras, so much so.
i had to come to same conclusion, about dropping to flanks, or/and even not using them, much any more.

Funny you say that since that is all I do. They are always coming up the flanks because I do not play against idiots (mostly) and do not have time to build rallies. It doesn’t help I am given a Nerf on top of that (M1A1 Carbine) if I don’t pick the 1918 BAR.

gun is not garbage.
is a semi auto gun after all.
problem i saw in those days is the need of 3 or 4 shots to torso to kill even from cqc
that was really awful and rage inducing

but if you go for headshots in mid range is fun.

the stupid vitality perk should be removed :smirk:

I can aim out of a bad gun like MP 18 or the MP3008. I can’t aim out of a garbage gun that is intentionally given front and rear sights from hell. At least the normal M1 Carbine has a front sight that isn’t nearly as bad as the M1A1 (it’s bad).

But if you believe it is not garbage, then ok. Do you want to be able to switch between the Johnson M1941 rifle and the M1A1 Carbine, or just stick with your carbine?

True, but I want to know if you would rather have a carbine or have the option to equip the Johnson M1941 rifle and a Carbine.

unfortunately im in the realism “team”. :smirk:

we already have the stupid vickers paratroopers.

in heroes and generals paras had the jhonson machine gun.

i prefer paras droping with something feasible
