Ghost Ring = Awful Sights

Have you ever thought removing ghost ring when ADS ?

seeing those two images, i think removing the rear sight completly would feel realistic.
and improve the game.

what do you think ? :face_with_monocle:

The m1a1 carbine and m1 carbine need justice for their sights.

all weapons with those rear sights need justice.
it isnt realistic the use of the rear sight in this game ( im sure it is not the only one )

im playing tunisia allies right now and oh boy
i suck with the enfields
very hard to do what i do with the other bolties

shoting a moving target is a guaranteed fail for me. :sob:

but the thing is WHY DOES THIS SIGHTS EXIST AT ALL ?
and the reason is
in videogames we dont have a “GHOST” RING
we have a RING hiding everything around when we aim

quite dangerous in a crowded game where enemies go with a squad behind.

Not a fan of ghost ring sights, in real life or ingame.

Only ingame ones I like are so large they are basically aimpoints (sten/bren)

i cant snapshot
with the leeEnfield as i do with the kar98k or the springfield.
and is due to the sights. :sob:

The sten and bren are fine, because there is only 1 front post. The SMLE, M1 carbine and Enfield take a tiny bit more concentration because they have 3 front posts and you can easily focus on the wrong one. The garand has a thick post…bit wierd but makes it easier to focus on.

But…it would be wierd not having the ghost/peep sights as they are, iconic.

ye the 3 front posts are another problem but there is no “real” solution.
but the stupid ring is not how things work in real life.
so i dont know

For me it’s actually one of the easier bolties to track moving enemies with.

how could that be ?
that is impossible.
you have too much shit in front of your eyes.
to be able to track enemy movement.

if enemy suddenly stop as bots do
in the blind spot the ghost ring gives you
you will miss the shot.

dont you agree it would be better without the ring ? :smirk:

Get rid of ghost rings. There is a reason why the M1 carbine is the best gun in RS1 and RS2.

I have killed so many GI from spamming m1 carbine. I will rapid fire (not dark flow’s version, actual rapid fire) to suppress them and easily wipe multiple guys. It is literally a semi-auto AR lol.

It may be the best shooter I have ever played. It has just enough realism and just enough arcade if the unlimited running and South forces are able to spawn on their sl, etc. It got cut short due to Anti-matter’s contract with Tripwire running out and Tripwire letting them go. Anti-matter got rehired and was making a sequel to RS2 in the Cold War era, but then it got cut by the Swiss owners of the company.
