I can get behind this. There should also be other early-war battlefields too, like Gembloux, Arras, and Sedan, to name a few.

definitely, also possibly for a larger update we could get maps for the invasion of Greece, Poland, more maps for the pacific war, etc.

I’d love to see Greece, Sicily, Crete, and more North African maps implemented. Hopefully sometime “Soon™”…

Id love to see all of these, Dunkirk could have stunning shots, even just the massive smoke piles coming from the dock area in the skybox would be incredible.

Though I should add on here, I think it would be nice if this map was limited to ideally BR1 and BR2, I think in the future when more maps have been added, separating some of the less generic ones into more time specific eras would be nice, like NA BR4 and below but in turn getting Monte Casino or something alike to fill in BR2 and above

I hope so. But Enlisted would have to make UK a separate faction.
True which would be unideal, perhaps a limited event would be a better idea instead, Though thats a lot of modelling for a limited even then.
Though maybe you could set it in the context of the 44-45 siege? In which case the issue of limiting the BR is removed too.

Dunkirk would be a great replacement for the stupid ‘reverse D Day’ mission too.
I like the various suggestions above.
I just wish DF and certain players would understand that copy pasting the same style of map over and over is just as bad as not making new maps at all.
New maps should be selected wisely in how they will add something to the game.
Early war maps which games never acknowledge like Dunkirk, Stonne, Paris, Westerplatte, Danzig, Eban Emael would all be good.
Likewise the Greece/Crete/Yugoslavian campaign which games for whatever reason ignore.

I like this idea. Perhaps Germans get tickets for destroying evacuation boats or something as well? Like the less evacuation boats there are, the less men can escape to England so its the Allies job to hold their ground and defend the evacuation points like The Mole and the Germans job to destroy Allied forces and their equipment.
I hope France-Poland-Belgium-Netherlands is added as a faction (all those nations in one tech tree).
I made a post about this a while back. They would be able to fight all the existing factions except Allies obviously and have a very broad range of maps.

There are a lot of historical battles that DF could and should incorporate.
Iwo Jima
Okinawa
Saipan
Tarawa
Manila
Batan Island
Clark Field Philippines
Guam
Dunkirk
Calais
Malta
These are just a few of what DF could come up with, and to be honest, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Manila and Dunkirk should have been no brainers and should have already been in the game.

I think it would be better to add France, Free France, Poland, Belgium, and Netherlands as alternate nationalities you can change Allied squads to, and maybe Vichy France for Axis?

I think more battles for low BR, like the fall of France and such, would actually be a pretty good addition since it would give new players more variety and possibly increase retention?

Fair point however I believe the Allied tech tree is already overburdened trying to have both USA and UK and Commonwealth tech because the devs and certain parts of the playerbase are for whatever stupid reason against a separate UK-Commonwealth tech tree.
Adding ONE more faction to the game wont ruin it. I believe the combination of France, Poland, Belgium and Netherlands creates a very comprehensive tech tree for BR I to BR III, and could be a more achievable grind for newer players to get them used to the game.
As I said there are plenty of locations, some of which were only fought by one or more of the nations that would form this new tree, and others fought alongside either the British/Commonwealth or USSR.
Queues would not be a problem since they would just join either the Allies or USSR queue depending on the map.
