Doesn't anyone think the rank of the Gerat 03 is too high?

As a semi-automatic rifle gold squad, it really shouldn’t be in rank V, rank IV fits it. I don’t think it’s comparable to FG42,AVT, T20, etc.

It is more comparable with winchester g30r which is br 4

Have posted a few times. Doesnt seem to have drawn their attention. Winchester with 20 rounds was released after my thread, so another reason to add to the many.

As a “premium” squad it should get special attention. Especially when all thats required is changing a BR number

Gerät has no business being br5. It has a larger magazine but fails in all other aspects…

Gerät might have a 20 round mag, but deals the same damage as FG42 - so its low enough to not kill against paratroopers and soviet body armor in one hit.

I wouldn’t even use it in BR4.

Its just like a G43. BR IV is the highest it should be.

No it deals less damage, its weaker than G43.
At BR4 it would still be rather fair game, since bigger mag vs more damage means it has its purpose but doesn’t outclass G43.

Well yes - but I would rather see its damage fixed to deal the same damage as G43 - so that it one hit downs Soviets with body armor, then I would actually use such unit because I do like semi auto ganeplay.

ALL semi autos (and MGs) should be 20+ damage. They were not raised to bolt action damages of the some cartridge for “balance”. However, that is when everything was all mixed together in campaigns. Now that the BR system is in place, bolties and semi-autos are in different BRs anyway. So why not fix their damages to be more on par with bolt actions?

We could have a broader discussion about damage values, but you are forgetting one crucial thing - actually all rifles, semi and MGs dealt nearly the same damage two or three years ago.

So bolt action rifles dealt the same damage as semi autos or MGs, however boltactions were specifically buffed so that they kill in one shot.

Squad itself already sucks. Nine riflemen are the most useless type of premium squads (or event squads for that matter). Even the goddamn AKT is BRIV or the Japanese M14 with a Star Wars blaster shield.

i would say the most useless event or premium squads are br1 vehicles like the soviet milk truck with an AA cannon

9 riflemen, engineer or not, are still very good at capturing objectives from the sheer number of soldiers
