First we saw the ranks of all players.
Then we didnt see the enemies rank anymore.
But now I also dont see my own team’s ranks?
I think we used to see it…maybe I missed the change.
When I started playing this nice game, I chose allies in Tunisia.
All was well until suddenly everybody wanted to be Axis and not allies.
So I had to switch to Axis also.
Now it seems that there was a switchback to allies again??!!
In the last few days all my battles were won by the allies…
If everybody truely switched back to allies I will go nuts…
Played some Tunisia matches the other day and every single match Axis was either bots or low level players, so maybe the balance has shifted back to Allies.
I think reducing transparency is generally the wrong way to go about trying to fix problems.
Because this is what it is: a naked attempt to reduce visibility to a problem (=likely unbalanced team and high probability of being 1-sided barrell shoot) to not deal with the actual problem, just managing the symptoms.
You know the nickname decorators do basically the same thing too, right? Should that be removed as well?
Ranks, name tags and so on are just visual.
And people so far expressed more issues and personal problems than what they offer. They are cool, but just that… Visual.
Not masking a problem, but I personaly belive no one, neither the game gets anything by displaying if the user is using a computer or a console., on other hand, users just seam to get yet another reason to rage “console players or pc players are this or that”
It’s just an attempt to disguise bigger problems within the matchmaking/balancing (lackthereof).
By removing all of the symbols, we have no idea what kind of experience our own teammates have. Not to mention the A.I. squads that are disguised as real players with ranks.
They could literally fix the problem by making matches continuous, and keeping players in the lobby after a match ends. Let people play with each other for as many matches as they want to stay… and the problem is solved. Just let people come and go as they please. and keep the lobbies open so there is a constant stream of players who are filling the empty seats.
Not showing ranks may not help with one sided battles, but it does lower the mount of deserters who quit the match just because they are intimidated by someone’s rank. Desertion is one of the leading causes of one sided stomps.
Yes, that is exactly the point. By hiding what ranks the enemies have, they are preventing people from getting discouraged and leaving the battle early.
What other benefit do you get from knowing the ranks of other players other than to arbitrarily judge who has the advantage?
Thanks for your reply.
I fear the same.
Been losing with axis in Tunisia for 4 days now.
Lose 3 or 4 battles per day.
Won only 1 battle, but only just…we were already out of reinforcements when we took the last point.
So close and exciting battle…that makes this game fun.
But the MM and shift of balance makes me nuts.
Hiding the rank does little to stop people from leaving a battle actually. Once the team is snowballing the other team, you can be sure, people will be leaving.
And even if the match is not snowballing, the feeling that something is off about the team or the enemy team, especially once you check the board, gets pretty clear.
I really rather wanna know, if i have a good match or a bad match ahead of me, because i don’t wanna waste my time with a unbalanced match, that makes no fun, than finding it out the hard way.
Ranks are important to see - if I have 0 gold rank teammates vs full marshall team I am just going to chillax and probably take out a fighter and practice killing stuff with 50kg bombs lol. If the game looks even remotely winnable I will actually, you know, try to play
in my experience campaign pop just shifts around depending on daytime, sometimes there isn’t much point sweating in a game where your team has 1 to 3 players that go above whopping 1000 score after 15 minutes
Thanks.
Such a shame I cant just start up the game when I want and have some fun.
I have to take in account the time of day, which server to select, which not…
How am I supposed to know these things?
I know I mostly play at a weird time of day (usually between 6am and 11am).
That’s because I am supposed to be working then hehehehehehe
Anyway, apparently the Tunisian axis around the world seem to be sleeping when I play.
This was 5 minutes ago at 7am local time.
The very next battle I played…
Every bloody day the same bloody thing.
I dont know the right times to play…what server to (not) select…
I should not have to worry about stuff like that.
I just want a normal team and a normal enemy.
Win or lose doesnt even matter to me.
And here we go again…
So that’s 3 battles in a row I played this morning…
Axis in Tunisia 3x crushed.
Thank you Enlisted, I will not be playing anymore today.
OK NOW I AM JUST STUPID
this makes 5x (late joining this time, always nice )
5x crushed.
Somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong (except for skill issue, at least I am 5x p1).
Re-joining the allies is too easy.
