Disgraceful lying

The overheats and previusly lowed roof dont help you to kill plane

Well this kind of gets to the point of the entire thread, historically those guns were intended to be used against aircraft and ground targets, so their current iteration is pure fantasy land of course most of the game is pure fantasy land, I never found the AA guns being used against infantry all that disturbing they were Easy enough to kill as infantry, the thing that I did notice of course as a fan of flying was that once they became more usable against infantry they were being built for more often so I was being shot at far more often with them when I was flying, Now that they use against infantry is severely curtailed it’s probably going to be the case where we see very few of them actually being built so the flyer in me isn’t entirely upset about that I just think they went a little overboard

You’re correct:
Planes are being less and less used in some campaigns (not counting Normandy), because the rearming delay is too long for some players who like to spam (even if in truth, re arming bombs in 1 minute or so is REALLY fast)

Which means that now that aa are unrealistically unable to fire at ground troops, like it also was meant to… ppl will bother less with em and focus on the ground entirely, forgetting about the skies.

In the end, pilots will be safer!

This is not necessarily bad, planes are not annoying like they used to be.

Yeah, I know that changing the AA models takes a lot of time. But there are other possibilities instead of nerfing that angles of the AA. Simpler possibilities, instead of being killed by an AA round, let’s just nerf the damage against us, of course it has nothing to do with realism, but we’re talking about Enlisted here, right?

“Historically” they were never present in such numbers in positions where you could / had to engage infantry. They were not present in buildings. They were not suddenly erected in unexpected places, including your flanks or even your position. (And no, infantry suddenly teleporting to the battlefield does not entirely negate that).

I can go on, and on, and on. The fact of the matter is that the change of depression angles got correct results. Realistic results, statistically speaking. They could have tried something else, but nothing would have worked this well and would have required a ton of work.

The only other real solutions with real results are even more harsh. Either remove buildable AAA entirely or severely limit where they can be built and how many, essentially limiting them to 1-2 predetermined locations with very limited view of approaching ground targets (where they were usually placed “historically”).

I discovered today that you can’t track low flying planes with the AA guns now, something I had not considered at first when I heard about this.

I might revisit my Low level runs now, or rethink using them as you would be largely immune from AA fire in a lot of situations

Nothing in game was really present in such numbers, the TNT bundles (pure fantasy), the multiple guns, the ton of stuff each soldier can carry, the unlimited tanks it’s all bit nuts from a historical standpoint.

I think though that Whear most people draw the line is weapons performance and capability’s and Enlisted takes a lot of creative licenses in this department, a bit to much for my tastes, but the game is fun as long as I don’t take it seriously.

Most of the infantry centric players will bitch and moan about anything that kills them, even other infantry, AA guns are very easy to kill really, all that’s required is a modicum of SA to avoid them or was.

And yes, AA guns were used as direct fire weapons to support the infantry in a variety of positions, and could be fired from there carriages, at least the Germans ones were depending on type, Many AA guns had AP rounds for them especially early in the war for use against light armor as well.

But we could argue the historical merits of this all day to no avail, as the only thing really going on here is that they neutered them to appease the vocal minority, just like the neutered the tanks MG’s and a lot of other stuff.

They also chose possibly the most lethal 20 mm AA gun of the war as a generic weapon, although it’s not molded correctly in terms of ROF or effect on target.

Going with single barreled AA guns would make for a better overall gaming experience for one and all imo.

nice bro resorting to insults

as much as i ‘‘like’’ the nerf as the next guy. they should have done this in another way. like making the build time 25 seconds or so and increase the material cost. as for the MG nest, they should have reduced its material cost and reduced its build time to 8 seconds.

but this is just one man’s take

Report all you like, keep crying that your crutch is gone haha

Who cares?
