Just finished a dday. One plane was bombing left side of the map non stop and one plan the right side. The middle was blasted by 2 at guns with HE on the highground and a pz4 at the right top most bunker. Everything was a massive explosion the second you spawned. If you managed to get trough the spam or destroy a AT cannon and a tank with own plane. There would be a new one build and before you managed to actually spawn and stay alive trough the bomb/HE spam the tank was already back again and no push could happen.
This combi of meta could not have happend pre the last patch. I can not remember a match being 100% stuck without feeling I could add anything to breaking it.
no US gets 2 iirc, they get an attacker and fighter as well just that germany gets an attacker and a fighter much earlier than the US. and yeah i do agree that fixing that bug was a mistake for balancing

Aye US gets 2 as well indeed. There are some maps that US gets 1 plane but I dont know if that is the same for Germany. For instance airfield US only has 1 and I found a few times that happend on other maps as well but seems like a bug to me.
But the balance seems to be laying with the Germans because they have 2 planes 1 fighter and 1 attacker plane that can stop a entire push or camp both spawns.
again i agree that germany having 2 powerful CAS planes isnāt balanced so maybe make the bf109 g-10 the only fighter so germany at least can have 2 aircraft?
They could also swap the bf109 g6 so that it carries an SC50 instead of the OP SC250 that allows it to CAS very well so that way its main purpose is to shoot down all enemy planes and not be great at everything.
Ignoring and developing are two different things. What we as a community want doesnāt mean itās best for the game, i m yet to see a dev team that wants to maintain a bugged game.
some aspects are beyond our understanding, or, we were doing games right now.
aspects like priorities, manpower, current workflow, future concepts and money/time.
with that said, i m yet to see a game with so many comunity feedback already implemented at such fast pace, (weekly updates).one of the reasons why i did invest in this game, was the clear update rating this game is taking. so far, its by far the fastest dev team i m yet to see anywhere.
Everything that I have noted has been tweaked so far which means they know about it, are trying solutions, And some of the solutions (a lot of them were brought up here)
Planes arenāt killing anymore than before, tanks arenāt either even though HE was hugely buffed!!
Artillery is killing more, but only because the very first spawn of the game has no spawn protection, and everyone knows where you spawn now ā¦the first barrage wrecks
We do not get to design the game - we get to say how we think about it, then the designers get to decide if that is something they want to do or not. It is not a democracy, we are not in charge.
The devās accept suggestions that tie in with their vision of hte game - that is why they are āsuggestionsā, not commands.
I have to agree with your sentiment that the explosions in general are much, much too much.
Between the constant barrage of artillery spam, mortars and non stop aircraft bombing runs with the resulting constant screen shake it takes the fun out of an otherwise great shooter. I can only imagine what an absolutely fun gaming experience Enlisted could be if they drastically toned down the non stop barrage of everying.
In an aircraft, I can wipe out three or more full squads easily with every run. The maps are small and the play āzoneā is even more restrictive so itās far too easy to just keep the OP bomb runs going. Sure, I get crazy XP but at what cost to the health and longevity of the game?
In the latest patch, the reduced time between artillery calls to tone down the spam, while it was an effort in the correct direction, did little to help matters. We had non stop artillery spam pre-patch and post patch - we still have non stop artillery spam.
I canāt count how many times my squad is wiped out quickly moving from the danger zone from one artillery barrage only to be erased by yet another. You spawn back in only to be promptly deleted by an aircraft bombing run that dropped itās 500 kg bombs a km away. Fun, fun for sure.
Itās a great concept for a game, and Iām sure thereās a fantastic infantry experience in there somewhere. Hereās hoping things continue to improve with future updates.
well said, my honest opinion is this game is a hot mess currently and a lot of stuff needs redone or fixed. the Ai still ruins great matches with unfair/cheating actions.
Yeah, it felt balanced, because planes donāt do much better then infantry, meaning that the one guy who got denied airplane fought as a soldier. Itās more about frustration for one sideās pilot then balancing issue.
But they donāt tho? Every single US plane does a better job at accomplishing air superiority then itās German counterpart. Yeah GER do much better at CAS, but what is CAS for if you canāt keep your planes in the air. Before, if US had at least two pilots on their team, air was theirs period. Now they have to fight for it instead. Also
If I rate CAS by stars (and iām not taking air superiority into this) then GER has: BF 110 **, Bf 109 g-6 *, Ju 188 ***
while the US has P-38 *, A-20 ***, and not sure which of the last two planes or both have the fucked up HVAR rockets **.
A-20 has the same game impact as Ju but can shoot JU down, one of the last two US planes has better rockets then BF 110 and can shoot BF 110 down, Bf 109 g-6 beats P-38 in both I think.
I feel a heavy US bias in your posts. The amount of pushes or whole defenses that get evaporated by either A 20 or by the HVAR rockets? If I had to think about a good comparison, about as much as the US get evaporated by the JU 188 or Bf 110
that would be the thunderbolt but that is classed as an attacker so you can only bring that or an a-20 to fly with p38 and p51c with shitty 100 pound bombs. and p47 is unlocked at 27 so itās very much an end game vehicle unlike bf110 not to mention the germans can get 2 aircraft in the sky much earlier than the americans; level 4 and 12 for germany, 4 and 18 for america
explosives are necesary for a healhty ww2 experience, i dont want this to become a rifle fiesta, and the swings are good to make comebacks and stuff.
Also, arty can be called once every 4 mins, which is a lot of time ( yes 45 secs with the arty squad but that is just 1 squad on the roster and if u gona be afk calling arty u wont help pushing). Like I dont understand why some ppl complain so much about arty, it takes so much time to be called, affects YOUR ALLIES, and there is even a red circle on the map so dont go tehre if u dont want to die. There are tanks that are way more disgusting and really OP, and I dont see many ppl mentioning it, probably these who complain so much about arty and explosives are the ones using tanks non stop.
There are very very few games where its a bit too much explosions and its usually because one team is stomping but so the bullets come from everywhere aswell, maybe once every 15 or 20 games but the rest is totally fine. So I am very happy with the state rn.
Explosions are pretty much needed in invasion maps, otherwise there is no way attackers can win since killing people with rifles takes a lot of time and there is more than enough time for others to respawn and keep defending forever basically
And btw I dont use arty squad ever, and got the JU squad at lvl 3, I basically play infantry most of the time and I think the game is pretty well balanced the way its rn, explosives are strong but it makes the game more realistic, fun and interesting
Artyās actually does dmg now rather than requiring direct hit on infantry in order to kill.
Which is fine, but id still increase the cooldown or limit in someway as the constant arty spam is still a thing.
Far less mortar spam now, how ever it still frequently happens.
Planes have theyr nuke bombs, which seems to have quite massive aoe. Which from all of the spam is probably the most justified as it requires atleast some sort of aiming to deliver the bomb in right place. Still this combined to all other spam is something that needs to be address. Is it the usual increase in cooldown or decrease the bombs aoe i dont know.
What comes to planes durability thats something that needs to be addressed too. As the planes are just bullet sponges, after a roughly hundredtendozenquadrubllemillion hits from fighter to IL-2 the effect was relatively nonexistent, perhaps a little bit of smoke which could have been just the pilot litting a cigar as he was able to continue flying just fine.
After that I havent exactly even bothered to try AA or shoot planes with LMG as it seems quite pointless.
None of this alone is game breaking, for all I care if there was just 1 guy shooting tactical nukes with mortar fine it would be annoying not game breaking. Same goes for all classes.
Problem is the combination of all this, If you end up in a game that starts with 3 arty barrages, 2 mortars spamming across the map and magically survive to next point just to be blown up by tactical nukes of plane you might as well just quit as its waste of time.

Late game German planes are only good at taking out Planes, they lost their Bombs and Rockets. While the US Keep the Rockets and HVAR Rockets that are better at Dealing with Infantry. US players is straight up better cuz you can still farm kills while German ones you canāt.

US Lv24 Plane Unlocked, still has Rockets. Not to mention you even get stronger HVAR rockets on lv 27. You can pair that bomb with A-20 Plane for mass destruction
2 the Planes was confirmed to be a Bug. It was quite abusive that the US can uses 2 while Germany 1. It was actually very unbalanced, if you never played Germans you wouldnāt understand how the Pilots feel
