Quite a bold statement. When you follow it up with some ultra-specific made up rare scenario that goes completely off the point of the punishment for deserters.
Plus, it doesn’t matter if you like it or not. These punishments are planned, they’re clearly already functional, and they’re coming into the game pretty soon.
So if I were you, I’d be fulfilling BP tasks prior to that final hour before the end.
definitely not a rare scenario and happened to me quite frequently…
Desertion for me has been part of normal game play for me for well over the last year of play. A -20% experience thing doesnt faze me, the contents of the game is stale, everything is researched, presets made for every nation, enough reserve research to instantly research anything the game throws at me.
Essentially for me the -20% will be a complete joke.
Currently every time i seem to play im back to day 1 of logging in (due to inactivity), so battle pass doesnt even get a look at when im in the game.
However i have been in game long enough to have perspective on why people desert, as i’m sure you have aswell, but not sure as why you have such a closed mind to it.
My battles are around 11,300 not sure if that includes deserted as well, if not then its way higher, guess we’ll never know until they redo the stats page
When your opinion goes against the vast majority of this game’s players, it shows your understanding of the game is truly pathetic. Maybe your skill level is just hopelessly bad.
While I agree with you. The flip side is that it has become quite common lately to encounter a team that seems to be on Discord, and locking down all approaches to the point.
I’m not defending people who drop matches, exactly. I will say, though. That feeling like you’re just being farmed for kills rather than playing a game is rather humiliating.
The issue of team balance needs to be dealt with, once, and for all.
I noticed a new trend about axis vs sovs. Many axis players either switched sides and now play for sovs, the rest only want to play vs allies where they “seem” to feel it’s still balanced.
It started happening right after last patch
…
Now some may say it’s only between the ears of the playerbase who desert… But if that were truly the case… then we wouldn’t see SO MANY pve matchs when playing as a Sov.
Anyway, it’s what we see today. Make of it what you will.
Personally. everyday I am deserting matches but its always before the match starts so that game can find any1 else for my spot, its been almost 2 year and haven’t deserted during match, but I don’t blame the people who do, everyone has his own motivates to play, if one has “I need to complete Win 2 Match BP Mission asap because I dont have time for today” as his motivate and game puts him in a match where he is alone or with 2 guy against 6 guy then ofc they will not stay to suffer, what this game needs to do is find a way to balance. even 5-5 player requirement to start match would be better than nothing
Some days I want to fly, and a conquest pops up. I desert before the match is even loaded and teams filled. (Conquests are bad for flying. Too small. Fewer pilots.)
As for those deserting after 1 cap… well it’s their life. I guess I can forgive them if it’s an unreasonable steamroll or if the enemy clearly has stacks or full of cringe armour on every soldier.
Personally I hop into a plane and let it end, leaving the team to lose so it ends faster. Some matches, just aren’t worth playing.
