Dear Darkflow - Do NOT Port This Mechanic!

I have to resort to making comic memes in order to get my point across. If you implement the LMG and AT stamina drain mechanic from Stalingrad, you are going to piss off many people.

YOU WILL ALSO PISS OFF PAYING CUSTOMERS WHO P.A.I.D FOR PREMIUM LMG SQUADS.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

for me it depends on the weapon like the m1919a6 or PTRD should use up stamina but something like a sturmpistol or panzefaust shouldn’t

If they go ahead with the implementation and port, it will be a one size fits all scenario.

I’m still laughing at trying to pick up this massive weighted Sturmpistole.

oh yeah i agree it shouldn’t be universal

So the game should stay in one place and not evolve at all because there is always someone pissed about the changes?

Stamina drain for heavy weapons is good and resonable mechanic. All they need to do is polish bipod mechanics before releasing it to older campaigns.

And of course that things like Sturmpistole, BARs etc. shouldn’t be affected. But MGs, M1919, AT rifles etc - definetely. Those are not things to run nad gun with.

If you piss off your paying customers when a lot of the premium bundles are LMG base, it is going to hurt profit margins.

I think about these things from a company position - and with a direct port with no changes to reflect each weapon type weight for inertia based aiming - doing this decision would kill a lot of the money trail.

Imagine selling the Colt Monitor then a month later nerfing it to hell because of this “better idea”.

Well. Its a beta after all.

A beta that is charging AAA prices for bundled squads with false first time sale discounts.

Dont buy them then if you dont agree with the conditions.

First I wouldn’t call this mechanic a nerf. LMGs are still beasts and the only thing that changed is the way you need to use them to see their potential.

Lots of those bundles are BAR variants that, like I said shouldn’t be affected because technically it’s not a LMG. For example many other mechanics like slower aiming amd higher dispersion when moving don’t affect them. Do it is safe to assuse that they will be treated as lighter weapons.

As Keofox said before the update launched - they are trying to find a nieche for every type of weapon. Before stamina drain LMGs were just oversized SMGs with extra recoil (and even before they were literal assault rifles). Now they provide different playstyle, with different mechanics etc. Just because some people for too used to primitive run and gun gameplay the game shouldn’t be stopped from evolving (especially when it starts to break the meta a bit)

Still does not address the fact that a direct port from Stalingrad will affect all LMGs (and ATs).

cuck argument. betas aren’t meant for this. we can’t just excuse every mistake and bad faith move from the devs by saying ‘its just a beta’. that’s what they want

Still doesnt change the fact that a beta means that there are possibilites that the devs make changes of the mechanics.
And its not that bad anyway. Just use %100 stamina perk and thats it.

as i said to another user. we should not be forced to equip certain perks as a result of bad game design.

Damn, axis in Moscow will be truly dead after this absurd mechanic is introduced, basically the only decent gun until mkb/kiraly is mg34, and it will become useless

exactly, this is my problem. axis strength for most players comes from early - mid level MG unlocks. This is a nerf, be it disguised or unintentional, to axis. Yet again. It keeps happening.

Since when is it a bad design anyway?

because to use MGs correctly now you have to rely on a poorly implemented and broken mounting feature. i wouldn’t have an issue with it if mounting worked

Then how about fixing the bipods / demanding their fix then?
No? Meh. Too complicated I guess.
