What about a regular murata?
Would basically be identical to the Berdan, but seeing as the Berdan and Gewehr 1888 were removed- both very high damage, low RoF rifles- I don’t think the Murata rifle stands a chance.
It was supposedly for cleanup but I think it was because the bolt action buff made their damage gimmick irrelevant.
True but japan does have some nice gold order options anything is better then a mediocre semi auto with 5 extra rounds!! Hell grab some IJN prototypes like the Japanese m1 garand or even some intresting chinese captured stuff

Well if we’re going that route there were also Filipino slamfire shotguns that were just used to ambush Japanese soldiers and steal their guns.

Actually a factory defect marketed really well to avoid the supervisor being sent to the eastern front
Honestly that would be cool to see if they made it way more accurate than other shotguns (to compensate it having only one shot)
