I am well aware theres no MM in enlisted reason why we sometimes get horrible matches like 1 vs 8 but at least this issue can be addressed few PC players getting shoved into a full console lobby. Now sure i can leave the match but if if i had booster active it will just get wasted and its no fun. Since Console gets the right to choose whether or not they want to with crossplay on or off its only right PC also get the option so thing like this can be avoided.
I’ve said it before and I will keep saying it. NO.
If you want to play with Mouse and Keyboard, play on PC. The entire reason that console can turn of crossplay with pc in the first place is because of it.
Now before you say “that’s why console should get mouse and keyboard” stop and think about this:
Some people play on console due to physical limitations that do not allow them to use mouse and keyboard.
I personally have several friends that served in the military that are missing fingers, but they enjoy gaming. They can use a console controller fine, they’ve been able to adapt to it. HOWEVER, they absolutely cannot run mouse and keyboard.
So to keep the game fair and not completely alienate that part of their playerbase that have disabilities and can use controllers, but not M&K, Console players should NOT have access to M&K controls.
It separates out the lobbies too much. Especially in off times the player count CAN get rather low on console only lobbies. So rather than splitting them up even more, just keep PC as M&K, and keep console on Controllers.
Idk about you, but I enjoy playing against other players, not against predominately bot lobbies.
Then if they are on console, they can save some money and not invest in M&K equipment, rather just stick with controller.
I didn’t know this.
Yeah, if playing on controller would meant just instantly full bot game, it wouldn’t work at all.
Btw. Aren’t they just so bad they seems like bots? Since lot of console players are casuals, meaning they could be completely clueless and low ranked.
You’d actually be VERY surprised. Don’t get me wrong, there are some idiots, but I’ve seen the same behavior from some PC players when I do crossplay.
However, MOST of the good console players play in console only lobbies. Most of the console players that PC is exposed to aren’t even aware of the option to turn crossplay off.
So instead of turning of crossplay and learning the game then going back to crossplay with some gear and experience built up, they are just reserved to fail miserably and get the bad reputation for the rest of us.
Most console players are little better than bots. Some console players really know how to abuse the auto-aim feature and are a menace. Either way I would prefer not to have them in my games.
Every single time I get with new players (I put up group posts to try to help new players get better at the game), that’s the first thing that I mention. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM says they wish they had known about that sooner.
They DEFINITELY care.
Yes, crossplay is on by default and the game doesn’t even make an attempt to tell players about it.
Letting PC have crossplay toggle option will fix a lot of platform related issues. I don’t hate console players I have 2 good friends playing on console but I don’t want to send in a full console lobby while being the only PC player.
It’s super easy to get better at Enlisted if you actually care. Just spend some time on YouTube, watch videos like “tips for new players” etc.
But most casuals simply don’t do that. They don’t want to spend that much time out of game since their gaming time in the first place is often pretty limited.
That’s my perspective.
With little effort, pretty much everyone can be a decent player of enlisted, I think.
Watching videos and reading tips doesn’t automatically make you better at the game, you do realize that right?
You actually have to practice putting those things that you learned to use. Which is often an entirely different ordeal.
Throwing grenades for example. It seems second nature to advanced players like us, but to new players can be rather infuriating.
Making sure your controls are set adequately (on console the default controls overall are absolutely atrocious).
Learning that the thumb is your “aim”
Learning the distance that each grenade throws because some go further than others
Learning the distance if you have the increased throw distance perk on
Learning how long is on the fuze and good amounts to cook them for
Learning the approximate blast radius of each grenade type
etc.
That’s just GRENADES. Trying to do that in a game where everyone else has been playing for like a year+ and are cracked out on their controls (the difference between M&K vs controller) is just absolutely terrible.
Just overall the starting experience on console is absolute shit. Primarily because the control setup on many aspects is very counterintuitive, and a lot of players aren’t aware you can change them!
