I know more than one person is going to insult me and call me whatever they want, but it is very toxic and needs even more nerfs to the grenade launcher rifles, so I suggest the following:
1º: Prohibit having more than 1 at a time to avoid high toxicity situations at points, it’s sad to see how spamming certain things is encouraged
The weapon power is fine, the problem is how useful it is against low skill players. They should BR4 fix all grenade launching weapons to keep low BR games safe from this toxic gameplay
Intelligent power adjustment: Keep normal GLs at BR3, move AT GLs to BR4.
They are already nerfed 1000 times and barely anyone plays them. Its just that every bum loves to whine about what the majority of whiners currently whines the most about, I’d love to see stats from DF how often they are played compared to other weapons. I almost didnt play any GLs for 3 months and forgot that weapon type exists cause basically no of my enemies played them. and and if someone did i didnt notice as it doesnt make any mathematical difference between getting a squad wiped from them or getting wiped by a high BR smg/mg/AR.
Biggest issue for me was always their reload time, which was too fast. They can also undo the nerfs of the Schiessbecher and the Drakonov launcher (?) if you cant reload them in like one second while running and jumping.
Exactly my opinion. The devs are too heavy handed with nerfs. Impact nades work maybe half the time, and do next to no damage when they do work unless you hit a man directly. WP nades are literally worthless and give you absolutely nothing that some other grenade does infinitely better to the point choosing them is stupid. Rifle nades may be annoying when encountered, but they’re not an end all be all in a match
In fact, you can make a ersatz mortar out of it and give it more grenades. Let it work like a mortar. Also, you forgot to mention that you need to load a blank cartridge.
On another branch I suggested an option to place rifle grenade launcher ammo in grenade slots. This will exclude a combination of a grenade launcher and three impact grenades or two grenade launchers.
If the bots actually respected formation spacing when holding a position but especially while moving instead of whatever exploration of intimacy stuff goes on at this time… Wide ideally would be 2m< spacing between each and a multi-floor/room spread on objectives or in buildings.
But I couldn’t care less. I sold all my TT rifles with GLs and bought gamble boxes instead.
Neither I cared about nerf of AP mines (even though I find them completely useless now).
If someone enjoys playing GLs or APs. It is his struggle to justify not getting them nerfed.
But I just think that demanding a nerf to something I don’t like to play against is an extremely lame approach. But whatever.
They are just (intelligence test) devices and tactical auxiliary weapons
Mainly used to test whether the enemy is a suicide infantry
and creating tactical value
So even though you can see them in every game
But you won’t see 2 or 3 players using a 9-man infantry grenade squad dominating the battlefield and getting high rankings in every game.
Because in most cases, the players who can stably win the high-ranking level are mostly players equipped with a large number of automatic weapons.
