I will probably only play allies, even tough i really want to play japan as well. Sucks that the progression is so bad.
Hope it wont be a complete steamroll on allies when it releases. Probably tho
Why would you not play as Japan if you want to play?
You’re probably not wrong about the steamroller though. US is in 2 campaigns already but Japan is new and people gravitate towards the New Shiny.
And from polls I’ve seen so far its almost 70/30 split favoring Japan.
Oh it’s for sure gonna be full Marshall stacks steamrolling the Allies, but hey the Allies pretty much steamroll in every campaign other than Normandy, so uh yeah…I can’t really feel sorry for Allies mains.
Dont know really
Guess i watched HBOs Pacific and love the marines a lot.
I also havent really played much US normandy
Its gonna feel weird going from axis main to allies in Guadalcanal tho.
But yeah just my opinion. Japs will be cool, sadly cant play 24/7, and since i like allies in the pacific more i have to go with them
Fair enough, I can appreciate that.
I’ve played a lot of US / Brit in here so I’m personally griding Japan first myself for some unique weapons.
Its gonna be a riot or a slug fest
Either way with the revised pay model, there should be more population. I’m hoping for Normandy levels of 10 vs 10 on either side.
10$ bucks says campaign is going to be like Tunisia where everyone played Allie’s at start but now just japan
Haven’t played in at least a year but Japan definitely has my interest.
I love the lower tech. Hopefully this campaign doesn’t go downhill with overpowered high-level gear like the rest of the campaigns.
I think (and hope) that it is kept more mundane and simple in terms of weaponry. Japan didn’t have the same level of industrialization that Germany did so we will hopefully have a better balance (nothing will ever be perfect) in the Pacific.
I am certain there will be lots of experimental weapons put in place to redress the lacking components in their force composition, but beyond that I’m hopeful for a campaign filled with Bolts, and simple MGs.
im afraid many will play japanese , the new faction
Japan is new and more interesting side, so it’ll probably be more popular, at least at the start.
The only concern I have is lack of maps on release.
Stalingrad was sustainable because we level it in seconds and enjoyed a few games now and then. A campaign with normal xp rates and, if comes with 1 island map It will be pretty old soon.
As for sides, I ill wait for gear first, to see what I m more. Interested into getting first.
But I ill probably go alies then jap.
Then I shall see you on the battlefield.
Hopefully I die with honor!
I am looking forward to the Pacific campaign and I hope that we will get many unique weapons and vehicles for both nations.
I think I will basically play on the Japanese side, but if the Japanese all start arming themselves with semi-auto rifles and submachine guns (or StG44’s falling from the sky), then I think I will be Allied.
Well in one of the arts they showed for the Pacific there is a Japanese soldier with Type Hei rifle. So yeah expect Japanese with semi autos atleast.
I know it. I was shocked.
My relatives who went to war used to tell me that the semi-auto rifles of the US Army were horrible, but in the Darkflow world of WWII that doesn’t seem to be a concern.
What was the point of the BA enhancements…
Which Semi though? The Garand was a perfectly serviceable and good Rifle.
As for Japan, to balance they had 3 prototype and one copy semi. We will probably get all of those.
I’m looking forward to trying them all.
Sorry,Translation error. I am Japanese and my great uncle who went to war used to say that the M1 Garland was quite powerful and fearsome.
With this impression, the Japanese military, equipped with semi-automatic rifles as a matter of course, feels uncomfortable.
Yep but hopefully the Type Hei will be the only semi given to the Japanese as a campaign unlock. The others could, and probably will, show up as gold order weapons or premium squad weapons.
