Wishful thinking of past campaigns are anything to go off of.
It might be the only semi auto when the Pacific first launches, but the devs are eventually going to pull out something ridiculous like the Moscow stg.

Sure I despise kamikaze pilots on other campaigns especially when they kamikaze stukas on my tank but Pacific be like this.

The Type Hei is also a Pederson copy, the other one you mentioned is the Type Ko. Both were submitted for trials prior to the Second Sino Japanese war along with a third rifle, the Type Otsu rifle, which was a Zh-29 copy.

According to US Marines, examples of the Type Hei was captured on Okinawa, but it is difficult to confirm this claim. However, some have made their way into the US somehow.

Japan had pretty strict standards on reliability which would probably explains the failures.
Remember the arisaka in game now has the weird looking mud cover.
Japanese tanks as well were designed to operate on much worse terrain than western tanks, and even had a helpful lining of asbestos on the inside to protect the crew from heat.

I’m not expert of Japanese army, but I can say with certainty that it is a ritual too strange and improbable from the Japanese point of view.
