A simple suggestion. Like with how you could command artillery strikes with Radiomen in your squad without having to control the Radioman yourself, why not do the same with Engineers? Select a thing to build and place it somewhere and your AI engineer will start building it. Layout and command your Engineer to build what you need to build.
You kindof can already, assuming you’re controlling an engineer as well. Pressing X (on PC, the same command button as telling your AI to capture a point or defend a spot) on any object highlight you’ve placed down will have other engineers in your squad try to build it.
Yes, I know about this, but this is mostly used in the dedicated Engineer squad. I’m talking about squads that have one to two Engineers. I usually run one Engineer in other squads.
would also help if the build order that we currently have would actually work. Ill tell them to build ammo, barricade, etc multiple times and they just stand there and ignore me 75% of the time.
This suggestion has been raised before but probably ignored. Need more interaction to grab the attention of the devs.
