Clan Wars in Enlitsed

Dear developer team,

I would be very happy if there were finally Clan and Clan Wars in Enlisted.

I would implement it like this
8-10 players are only allowed to take one unit with them. The clan is only allowed to take a maximum of two tanks and 1 aircraft into battle.

We actually do have a community made clan hub that is working to establish competitive events and tournaments. We had a tournament in February that was our first ever cash-prize event, spearheaded by SJF. All of our clans are technically unofficial, as there in no in-game support. We also have many one-off clan skirmishes.

Current rule sets are agreed upon by the clan leaders prior to, as every clan has a different idea of what balanced looks like so there is some wiggle room. Some clans have few restrictions, some heavily restricted HE spam; so there’s a versus that caters to everyone.

If you’re interested, you can check it out.

Literally, DF is having a hard time transitioning to the new battlepass format for a few months already.

I can totally see how they’ll be able to implement a complex clan system into a game that doesn’t even require one. Because if Enlisted is something, it’s definitely not very competitive game.
There’s no satisfaction in tryharding game that’s without any real competition (there are many reasons for why is it like that)

(But I get that some people are just taking mass murdering bots way too seriously. I have been there as well.)

Anyway, I’ll put it to you this way…
Until Enlisted doesn’t even have an ingame lobby chat (in the hangar). Something like an officially supported clan system is totally out of the question.

But even if, despite all this, you want to feel like you belong to some kind of “elite” clan community… there are plenty of discords servers where they are larping to be clans. Just poke around a few reddits or CC discords.

I personally just don’t see the point. I would choose some other game for that.

Is anyone allowed to join despite what faction used?

That does make sense not gonna lie. Ill agree with you on that

Tbh, I am definitely not against clan system to get official support from developers. I just think it shouldn’t be priority in current state of the game. We are simply not there yet. (And I wonder if we ever going to be)
Especially since Enlisted is not even targeting “hardcore competitive playerbase” in the first place.
Quite the opposite.

I would rather see some other meaningful end game content. Something that would include all veterans of the game, not just the competitive ones.
There’s simply not many things to do once you finish researching all factions.

unlike adam, i do think clans have literally no place inspite of support of being there or not.

literally nothing that can be community hosted as it has been in the pass over custom games.
matter of fact, if anything, custom games should be severly improved ( which somewhat have been. but there are many promised things missing ) and clans like everyone else can have at it there.

splitting and creating a dedicated clan matchmaker serves no one but them selves.
once you’ll give them a hand, they’ll start taking your arm off.
aka, demanding even more.

definitely not a priority.

I also think that unfortunately the game will just spin in place

For example, I really liked the train game mode

See for example WarThunder, the largest and toughest player base plays in clans and clan wars

We need AT-TE at least

Clans aren’t just competitive. They’re a social system. Virtually every online game has a way for players to connect, meet new players, and organize regardless if they take part of larger clan competitive events.

No one is asking for a separate clan MM. Only mm changes I’ve seen is a stack-mm soft rule, which should be implemented regardless.

I’m sorry, but it’s nothing more than a feeble contest and a display of who has the “longest” “E-pp”.

There’s very little of “ social “ ini of it self. Plus, as the HA community gets always told ( rightfully so I guess ) nothing stops you to continue hosting games against other clans? Both discord and the squad system works just fine for that sort of things., I don’t see what inherently beneficial for something that only a very minority partakes in. Just like historical accuracy demands are not met, I’m not sure why clans should be either due to the marginally relevance and has few dozens of numbers supporting that idea behind. But, I see one of the cm had some say about it. So I guess you’re lucky than most when it comes to demands.

I suppose a matter of opinions though…

Edit,
To not get it twisted, no. I’m not one of those HA kinds. Nor demand much beside custom and editor improvements. Because those benefits a large variety and umbrella of people. Not just x or Y.

Key words, not yet.

Agreed

Crazy concept - an official support system for clans will garner more interest and could easily lead to people making their own clans, as not everyone uses discord. It also should come with a social overhaul package including menu chat and quick add to squad.

Not wanting enhanced social systems for…I don’t know, zero reason, is mind boggling to me. Ofc you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about given over half the clans in the Clan Hub aren’t even comp groups. But “muh epp”.

We still hold our own events. But official support gives more access to more people and helps make an actual community.

crazy indeed considering the already basic and rather functional features.

because most people play this game as solo.
clans aren’t popular as you believe.

and given your own clan behavior it’s not a great loss.
which it is about " yoh epp ". so… yeah, i do know what i’m talking about thank you very much.
it’s more of a projection and quite funny to consider since i’m already part of not just one, but two clans too.

but regardless. mods / custom games are more popular than clans themselves.

maybe in a distant future when the base game would be fixed. and much more needed features first.
preferably.

( same goes for customs for that matter ).
but as said, given the CM intention, this might come sooner then later.
we shall see.

It is much easier to connect via the game and general chat in the menu than via external Google searches with Discord. It’s a shame that this isn’t supported

These types of “competitive” circle jerks are literally only for posers anyways.

People want a challenge? Let them fight alone against a popular faction after it gets new toys to play with.

That’s not really what they want. Otherwise they would be playing games with actual competition, not a game that’s mostly filled with casuals leading bot squads.

There are many such games, Warzone, CS2, rainbow Six and so.

But no, they picked a game with a relatively niche playerbase that consists of mostly casual gamers or older gamers with not very good reflexes. (WWII is definitely not a mainstream theme for the current generation in prime)

And here they just dominate playing 4 player stacks in 10v10 matches, where MM doesn’t even put 4 stack to each team in most cases.

That’s the real context.
