Changes in the Premium Squads

I do not want to stirring the pot, but to sell something under the brand name “last chance”, and then immediately sharply deteriorate the characteristics at the last moment-this is a big reason for various attacks on the game and developers. People payed money this week not to access, but for something. It is necessary to stop it somehow. I would give a couple of shooters or one specialist at least. Do we have an idea how to avoid this confuse?

There is no confusion. Only like or dislike.

You see, the people who buy this game past few weeks with a prems fill themself a bit cheated. I hear many of these at forum, and even in a social groups. They mad about their “last chance”. These nerf are stronger then we ever ask. I’m afraid - reduce of amount was easiest way to nerf. Not many work, if you can catch like a dev.

I suggested this as a solution for the people who dislike that you cannot train soldiers in them anymore:

Other than that, I have no issues with nerfing these to be weaker than normal squads, even though I think they are balanced rn I wouldn’t get mad at another nerf.

Hopefully they don’t pull a war thunder business move and release game breaking P2W premiums and then suddenly realise they are OP and nerf them only after people have stopped buying them. The fact they have nerfed the squads in time for OBT is a good sign.

Technically they did pull a war thunder.

In a sense, but still a massive step forward removing these squads from general sale and nerfing them in time for OBT.

The whole “hurry up and buy” before nerfing them immediately has Gaijin written all over it though.

Still, all I want out of a premium is a faster grind, even if the squad is weaker.

If nothing will happens (but it will), i wouldn’t say a word, but there is a deal about money. People getting mad if they lose money for something. I want this game to be well known and well balanced. And tricy last chance with great nerf ain’t help sadly. If it was announced week ago, probably nothing happens, but as it comes now - sadly we will see

Sure, i think the changes are fair but: How you compensate us with ingame money for this how other devs also do. Such details show respect for the community who pay the paycheck of the team.

For people who buy one or how in my case nearly all squads (for ~30€ per), do you think they will be calm?

Some people will be rightly frustrated with this, however, if we stop and realise that the changes are for the benefit of the wider community rather than just to annoy paying customers that is a benefit for everyone. Everyone being satisfied, even the F2P players, mean a stronger game overall.

Saying this as someone who owns all the SMG squads…but then again I’m not shocked by this move as I sold my soul to War Thunder a long time ago.

I sold my soul to War Thunder a long time ago. Hehe~ same. But it is just frustating how extrem the money grabbing get over the years. And here full power the same: Overpriced Squads; Premium time; Battlepass… Really funny that many common devs make games with wide less income :frowning:

Just logged in too, let’s go mudda fukkas!

Thank you for the information. Let us look how it is.

At least they are doing the right thing and nerfing things before Open access.

In War Thunder Gaijin will release an OP P2W and allow it to run rampant for as long as it still sells, and will only nerf it when sales have dropped.

These things are unacceptable for a game that has been public for YEARS.

Premiums should be rigorously tested in gameplay before sale and balanced accordingly, but then again this would probably hurt sales, and it is a business after all.

In order to keep the game balanced and fun for all players so that they keep coming to play with you.

Premium is better than f2p, because it gives you and advantage right away. You can progress through the campaign faster due to the xp boost and you have an easier time fighting due to rank 4 soldiers being better than rank 1 and premium weapons way better than stock weapons. So you get a big head start. After some time this advantage may fade a bit due to regular squads reaching or surpassing the level of premium squads. But in those regular squads a big effort was invested (in terms of hours spent), way bigger than what you pay for the premium. So IMO this is absolutely justified in order to secure the future of the game as not being p2w. I find that this is a very wise move towards balancing the game. Big respect to the author of the idea. I offered to have my prem. squad taken away and refunded with say golden coins in order to make the game a bit more balanced, but this solution is a better one imo.

Welcome on the f2p side, maybe your chance to understand what you did not yet.

WOOOOO sidegrades!!!
GJ devs!
(No idea where to post this )

I understand the need for adjustments, but I think making premium squads worse than regular squads is not the answer…

The campaign exp bonus by itself is only temporarily useful (while you grinding that specific campaign) and the weapons are not better (I prefer PPD over PPK).

These are not worth $30 now and I am regretting this purchase.

I am less likely to spend more money on this game in the future.

They are unique and availabe only to that squad. For example PPK allows you to try different playstyle than with PPD (sadly MP41 is just strict upgrade over free weapons). What you like is your own preference.

Remember that 1/3 of that price was access to the CBT, not squad being OP. New premium squads cost $20
