In my opinion all three of these tanks need a BR change.
The m10 should be moved down to BR 2 or 3, it has lackluster armor, very slow turret and almost no defensive armament.
the m18 should be in br3 cause while it shares the m10s weak armor and lack of defensive armament it makes up for it with its speed
and the m4a2 76 w should be moved down to br4, it has no place being in br5 with king tigers and the like.
Nothing with a 76mm should be in br2
the germans have the marder in br2 which is pretty much the same thing
I think the M10 should be the BR 2 due to the poor mobility. The M18 has very good mobility so I’d just swap your choices around.
my rationale was the m18 had pretty much no armor, i mean the thing cant even stop the 20mms from a panzer 2
This says it all.
Do you really think M10 is better than M18? You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.
i mean at least the m10 has slightly more armor but you do have a point
m10 is much worse than m18. M18 does have crap armour but it is much faster than m10 and has better turret traverse making it more useful in tank destroying because you can outrun heavy tanks and flank them easily.
The marder does not have a turret so no it’s not the same
Yeah that makes sense
the marder does not have a turret and the crew is literally exposed from the back, with the m10 or m18 at least its a bit tricky for infantry to shoot you unless they are on an elevated position
I disagree, the M4A2 76 W have a vertical gun stabilizer that work up to 24km/h. It could peek out of a cover to shoot accurately without having to come to a complete stop, and it can also kill the Tiger II H
from the front.
Extremely hard in normal circumstances. You need to aim for the very tiny mg port while KT can breath in your general direction and its over. They should definitely not br on same br. M4a2 76w is also more comparable to panther and t 34 85 wich are both br 4
BR III and add the M3 GMC for II
M10 has Sherman armor tho right?
doenst M3 Lee already have such a gun at br2?
Well that’s the funny thing
The gun in the M3 Medium tank more or less came from the modified french field cannon in the M3 GMC. As in we used the 75mm M1897A4 as the starting point for our own 75mm tank cannons. They even use the same ammunition. As most early tank cannons, not including auto cannons, either were or were based on old field cannons, towed anti tank cannons of WWI/interwar period, or high velocity anti air artillery cannons
So, kinda. Their exact performances and specs will differ, but they have their similarities and use the same ammunition
hm interesting stuff for sure, well from a WW2 perspective a lot of gear from ww1 wasn’t all that old if you think about it.
French equipment actually was very influential for later WW2 stuff, its just that France never had the chance to use their for its time very advanced equipment.
Yeah apparently their tanks were better, but their tactics never evolved. Germany was pretty much the only nation ready for the war they were unleashing on Europe. Everyone else was “don’t repeat WWI don’t repeat WWI don’t repeat WWI,” and to Germany’s credit they didn’t repeat WWI. Lol. Well, the outcome was repeated. But yeah firearms changed very fast throughout the 1800’s. Warfare and tactics barely could evolve in trial by fire in WWI. They absolutely did not have time to devise new tactics for WWII
I just agree for the m4a2 76(w) to be br 4 but the rest should’t change
