There are plenty of cases when soldiers used enemy weaponry like Russians MP40 or Germans PPSH.
Could even make a an event too, and give moscow axis a special squad with the gun MP41 (R) - A PPSH that was converted to 9mm and uses MP40 magazines. Seems unique. There are countless more examples
No. A solid negative for captured weapon. We already saw how a captured vehicle ends up in War thunder. Even though it is āhistoricalā, there is difference between documentary and a GAME. please no captured stuff in this game.
No, no and no. That would ruin the uniqueness of each faction and there would be no point to play the other factions, if you want the PPSh go play the soviets and if you want the Mkb go play the germans.
I already dont like that the allies in Berlin get panzerfausts, I would have preferred AT grenades and other unique AT weapons for them.
I mean you could only get one and then your done. Its not like you could trick your entire squad with these.
Maybe even let only soldiers who have a medal get these weapons only

In war thunder too it was same concept at the beginning. Then greedy Gaijin add more and more captured stuff which ruined the game. It is easy to push a little snowball but when you realise it is way too big, you canāt stop it anymore.
But arenāt captured vehicles in WT premium? Meaning you barely see them?
I mean the whole weekend i saw one captured vehicle on the other side.

As for you want x play y, itās plain stupid to say so. As we currently have landlease and captured gear present in Prety much all campaigns already. And no one is loosing their minds over it.

Exactly. The Soviets in Moscow have a premium squad which uses the Japanese Arisaka Type 38 carbine. It makes sense historically since the Russian Empire purchased over 700,000 rifles from Japan during WW1 and itās rare to see the squad since itās a premium squad. I think gold orders or premium squads (preferably the gold order) would be the best way to show off captured weapons.
The reason why Soviets get panzerfausts in Berlin is because thereās no other AT option for them thatās as capable as the panzerfaust besides historically captured large numbers of them.
Maybe lend lease weapons for gold order like M1928A1 Thompson for USSR would do but would rather limit the use of captured weapons to the panzerfausts despite being actually a thing in the Red Army to have some guys use captured MP40s on the battlefield.
I donāt know if you play war thunder or not, but in war thunder too, there are captured vehicle, e.g. KV 1 C 756 (r), pretty much entire chinese tech tree, italian and japanese shermans etc. At the beginnig, it was also for the authenticity and historical aspect. āBecause such nation captured bla bla bla, it is ok to bla bla blaā¦ā And it was ok! But that didnāt last long. Soon our lazy greedy Gaijin starts to add more and more because there are precedents. War thunder become insensive to it. The result? I remember half of team filled with german kv-1

Iām not sure about āvanillaā captured weapons, but that modified PPSH in your picture looks like a perfectly legit gold weapon for Berlin Axis to me. (Maybe a bit borderline for Moscow.)

Having a gold ticket access to a high tier enemy weapon, even if limited to a single specimen, would 1) encourage āmainingā by removing incentive to play the opposite faction; 2) predictably raise complaints when a faction has to grind (or pay) an awful lot in order to access a weapon, while the opposite faction can get one immediately and at a fraction of the cost.
How i would implement it:you can unlock a ācaptured weaponā slot for a faction for 1 gold
You can than transfer the weapon you want from the other faction(probably for bronze)
Adit: probably also make it so the captured weapon cant use ammo boxes
Conversions could be seperate weapons(GO or premium squad)

Just incase if soviet mains do not want to obtain Mp40 with its so much superior range capabilities.
I said, that you can purchase the weapon if you have unlocked it in the other faction. So you cant just buy a PPSH if you didnt unlock it
