Didn’t read that part. But although it makes sense, doesnt it also pretty much erase most of the point of having captured weapons at all?
Not really
The appeal of captured weapons is to use something very strong the enemy has(without trying to find one during battle)
So if you don’t want captured weapons we need to get rid of the German,
Mas 36, actually french
Zb26, czech
Vz24, czech
Suomi kp26, finnish
Zh29, polish
Hs129, french engines
Zk383, czech
Erma emp, german but sold to spain, captured by france and recaptured by germany
M28, finnish
Gewehr 33/40, czech
Pz38t, czech
Mannlicher, austro hungarian
I don’t see the issue having some equipment that was captured en masse
They literally can’t remove captured weapons, if that’s what you consider qualifies for it. Four out of the nine premium squads for the Soviets in Moscow are not Soviet made: Chauchat, Lewis Gun, Type 38 Carbine, and the Valentine.
Besides, it would be interesting to see the designations for these weapons, like the Germans called the captured Mosin Nagants “Gewehr 252–256 series”. They should be gold order so that it will be a rarity, the devs don’t seem to be adding the ability to purchase multiple gold order weapons like they did with the Berdan II.
That’s different case. These captured weapons that you emunerated are either
- the original country has capitulated and it has been captured from the logistics e.g. MAS-36 and pz. 38(t) or
- used by allied country, e.g. kp31, M38 etc.
Compare to weapon above, the idea of captured weapon such as captured PPSh is issued in frontline and captured during the battle. And, it is exact same (or quasi-same) from opponent’s weapon. For example, does soviet as polish semi auto? It’s uniquely in german that has zh-29. But captured PPSh is copy paste. You see the difference?
