This game has a strong advantage for higher (campaign) level players. Just because higher campaign levels usually unlocks much OP stuffs than low levels’ stuffs.
Now, it’s already announced up to lv26 and without any information about its phase3 release date. They still keep says purchase 50USD premium squads get you CBT access.
Also for current Berlin’s maps state, especially for AI’s pathfinding, still very unsatisfying. Windows are nightmare for bots. Lots of windows are still not registered for AI’s pathfinding. Also highrise ruins makes even players hard to pass. (Many ruins are on the core part of the map, not just for decoration, you need to make your way through them.)
So, maybe Berlin phase3 will be release very late than my initial expectation.
By then, when released, I believe most CBTers are tired of playing their main faction (because they reached top levels).
But the problems is: If devs stops releasing more new levels, CBTers will get bored due to lack of content. But if devs keep releasing more levels, when phase 3 comes, it will be a disaster for new players.
Well, this has touched one of the core problems of this game: The way to keep player base while staying low cost–The Grinding System. The campaign levels need a major overhaul during this game’s midlife!

This is why this whole idea of CBT inside OBT is flawed from the beginning.
I experienced the Germans in Berlin and was killed at will by the Soviet PPS42. The MP3008 is as bad as the American M3 submachine gun.I can’t imagine how to fight when a new German player encounters a CBT player with ppd40 or even drum ppsh41.The Germans in Moscow were massacred by ppd submachine guns, I think Berlin might be worse
Hence my sarcasm… From what the devs said, there will not be a progression wipe for those who paid entry in the CBT. It’s possible alot of new players will face terror from seeing guys like him:
What could be a saving grace though would be the massive influx of new players that will somehow “dilute” higher lvl ones.
Or they could tweak matchmaking.
Today, I played an Invasion match as Germany. I don’t have the pass, so I played the stock standard squads. A guy on the Russian team had an Emca premium tank, and the premium Russian SMG squad. I think he got like 150 kills and over 200 assists. He basically single-handedly roflstomped us, and Germany lost handily, as you would expect.

Playing as Level 1 is not that bad, my friends will be starting from Level 1, almost all Rifles can one shot anyway. And I did the same and grinded from level 1 moscow, now I am at Level 19.
exept, people will prefer leave the campaign and not play it. as you are not forced to do so.
Pay to somewhat play < skip campaign?
sure, if you are really interested you do what you want.
but people that don’t know what to do, they aren’t going to like it, and if they don’t like it, it’ll find hard that someone will pay to skip level just to not have fun.
making the overhall campaign left alone with not so much playerbase to make something out of it.
I used the Soviet army in the Battle of Berlin last night. Believe it or not, I lost all night. The players of the German Third Reich last night were very crazy. In the invasion mode, we couldn’t even capture the first point. It’s a nightmare night.
That’s how this game is balanced. In Normandie the new American players with Springfield, M3 with german players with MG42+FG42. In Moscow and Berlin new german players meet Soviets with drum PPD, PPsh DTS, PPsh drum with Kar98k and Mp28/Mp3008. Both unplayable. Let alone germans in Berlin play defensively. Personally I have no interest to play Berlin as I main Germany in Normandie. Why I must suffer too long to get the same things.
