If there are already 3 APCs on the battlefield, we have no choice but to wait for the enemy to destroy them. I cannot even replace the old APCs with new ones.
If the APCs do not reach the appropriate position, the enemy will not destroy these useless APCs, and our side does not have the means to destroy them. This results in us not being able to use new APCs until the gray area covers them, which is too bad.
APC is different from tanks,it cannot effectively kill infantry, and using APC and building Rally Point are both beneficial things for the team, so it should not be messed up by quantity restrictions, as it is also appropriate for enemies to lose the game by using APC in a timely manner. So please remove the quantity limit of APC.

Unused APC should be destroyed immediately (after the vehicle is empty) should the owner wish to deploy another

Unfortunately, after reaching the quantity limit, all car owners are unable to do so.

No - not a good idea - you can still build spawns, and if you screw up your APC placement than I see no reason to bail you out. Or me if I do the same!
You’d better pray that your teammates didn’t mess things up.I have already said that once the quantity limit is reached, there is no way for anyone to replace these APCs. I really can’t understand why you have to defend this terrible mechanism.

I pray that about my team mates every game in all respects.
And you get to replace APC’s in the same way you get to replace other squads once they are destroyed by enemy or by the battlefield moving past them.
It is not a “terrible mechanism” - you “solution” is a hand hold for people who should not be playing above BR 1 yet.
The position where APCs stay is usually not too far back, which means that it may even require two changes in the gray area to destroy these APCs. After being delayed for so long, do you still insist on this mechanism?
If this target point is occupied, the enemy will not go to your rear to destroy your APC.
This is a vicious cycle that must be changed.

Not so much about bad placement, it’s about removing obsolete APC placed 1 or 2 captures ago

I wouldn’t exactly say people are screwing up APC placement. If your attacking and taking control points, the battlefield is moving, so where you parked your APC, as the cap points change your APC just keeps getting further and further away from the next cap point, which at some point makes it relatively useless.

Just let players drive their APC as any squad. If your APC driver dies you can still run back to your APC and drive it as long as you are still using your APC squad.
So if your APC squad dies after the first objective is capped, let the player spawn as any new infantry squad and continue to be able to drive their APC.
If you see a friendly tanker get out of his tank and get slaughtered you can run to their tank and hop in it and drive it…so why not at least let players take control of their own APC regardless of what squad type they are running.
(You can also take control of friendly AND enemy motorcycles and drive them)
Edit : I may be wrong about being able to control enemy motorcycles, but I’m pretty sure I remember doing this once, so if I’m misremembering then my bad.

This is too bad, I can’t move my APC, and I can’t replace my old APC due to the damn quantity limit
Cancelling the quantity limit would have no harm at all, just like I don’t believe my team has 10 rally points, we can never have 10 APCs.
I agree 100% with this idea.
However it still doesnt fix the issue of the game moving on. It is unreasonable to expect players to run aaaalllll the way back to their APC and try drive it when youre under fire and the greyzone is approaching or the APC is behind the greyzone.
As an attacker by the time you run back and drive your APC forward the team will be taking the new objective anyway. As a defender, youll die trying to retreat.
Just let there be more APCs.
We desperately need more spawns and lets face it, NO ONE builds rallypoints. Thats not going to change so just let people have 2 or 3 rallypoints each plus as many APCs as allowed by the squad rotation.

I think the better option is when you spawn any squad in your own APC you can drive it. So people can have traling APC

That’s right, APC should be like a rally point, where each person can leave one on the battlefield, and everyone’s APC should not interfere with each other. The limit of three is completely unnecessary, and this beneficial thing for the team should be encouraged.
We cannot say that it is unfair because the enemy has more APCs or rally points.

I guess it would be fine to increase the number of APC’s allowed, but the potential problem I see on certain maps is that everyone will spawn in the same location, combined with tanks…so just imagine 6 APC’s and 2 tanks trying to drive past eachother to get towards the objective…
I have already ran into the situation on a few occasions of not being able to get my APC to the objective because of 2 tankers blocking the path I need, though this is more so a map design flaw I suppose.
Very valid point. No reason to not have more APCs though, DF just needs to fix the spawns.
Even with 1 APC 1 tank and 1 motorcycle its a traffic jam.
Ideally one could spawn anywhere within a certain area. Like in pool/snooker you can place the white ball anywhere as long as its behind a certain line when taking a shot.

But you don’t really make a mistake, you use the tool given to you, and its out of your control if your team also spawns a bunch of APCs.
Unnecessarily punishing people for just playing the game does not create a “skill gap”.
I don’t agree with this at all, APCs create no noise and do not get disabled spawns when enemies are nearby. Their limit is in place to prevent ultimate spam of APCs which can be more powerful than rallies
I say killing your own APC by respawning should be guaranteed - thats more important than removing the limit.
Just imagine 10 players at the same time spawning with that German event APC with its 75mm howitzer.

Its huge body will not make it difficult for you to find it, and there are not so many places suitable for hiding APCs. You cannot hide 3 or more APCs near a target point.Where can more APCs be hidden at the edge of a circular area with a radius of 50 meters centered on the target point?
isnt that literally what happens already?
