Can we

Have Flametrowers and mortar soldiers on other squads than the current ones they are?

Like I would like to add a flametrower to an assault squad. Or a mortar soldier on a gunner squad.

Why not?

And why no premium squads for them yet /snipers too?

Atleast that…

Just mentioned mortars coz we already can have arty soldiers on every possible squad.

I totally agree, i never take mortar squad but i want to use mortarmen in other squads.
But I do take flamethrower squad, apart from two flamethrowers you can also take 2 assaulters, 1 Engineer, Two Troopers in that squad, so i feel its worth using.

I think the rifle squad would be the best option to add to a flamethrower

Imagine a mortarman in an engineer squad

Well I know you can add assault troops to a flamethrower squad

Ofc not the eng squads, but, on a gunner squad one would make sence.
And or, a flametrower on one assaulter squad too.

A flamethrower defo shouldnt be on a assaulter squad.

Someone had an idea for an engineer squad. Thats where they belong most

Tbh I’m against adding flamethrower to assaulter squad. The only advantage of FT squad over AS squad is a flamethrower. If we give it also to assaulters, there will be no reason to take FT squad over AS squad as later can do everything else better.

As for mortar squad. It’s useless 99% of the time so adding mortar to other squads will render this squad useless as well. (More useless than it is now.)

Imo good idea would be to give engi squad FT exclusive with assaulter. Maybe we could do the same with AS squad but I doubt it will make a difference there.

Stated that only because we can do a mini assault squad right now on them

STRONK soviet vibes :joy:
But yeah allowing flametroopers on assault and engineer squads would be neet.
Mortars not sure, since there were kinda its own unit in the war as far as i know

Mortar SQUAD is indeed not worth picking over most other squads, including artillery one. And, Indeed, mortars are very situational. But if there was an option to put a mortarman in other squads, they may be a worth alternative to a radioman or a simple trooper.

In the right circumstances, like enemies storming a cap point in the open, a well placed and timed mortar barrage (that gives NO warning circle) can score a killstreak as huge as a CAS bombing run.

You are describing that mortar is useful, and I agree. But now imagine we can have a mortarman in any other squad. Why would I take mortar squad? It has no advantages other than having a mortarman so it will become useless (the squad).

Giving mortar squad some abilities (like smoke for example) may make it worth taking, but we don’t have smoke yet. And I doubt it will change soon.

I agree.
Flammenwerfer shouldn’t be on the most popular squad of the game. I don’t want my game to have more Flmmenwerfer than Team Fortress 2.
It can create a mess with flamme everywhere.

Because 10 people spamming flamethrowers at every respawn in cqc oriented game is a bit too much

Mortar squad instead need more flavor like smoke sheel,anti-tank sheel, napalm sheel ecc… and the ability of cordinate fire with your AI

Because they not sell like assaulter and lmg

We can already spawn 10 Flametrowers in the beginning. Doesn’t mean we will do it or we are doing it right now.

Because people dont have them in other squad forget most player have only 3 inf slot and dont use restricted squad like flamethrowers

Fair point.

As much as I would like some changes, right now with the power of flame troops in most maps , it might be a bit too much.
I’ve faced off against a team with each running a flame trooper squad and it was brutal.

That being said, mortar squads do need some adjustments. Smoke shells for one is the most glaringly obvious omission.
They are at times situational with their use, but if you add smoke, you increase their value 10 fold.
Blinding that grey zone tank, allowing troops to push up under concealment.
I also think, because these are the smaller Mortars, having one per 9 man infantry squad is feasible.
It makes more sense imo at least.
