Can I consolidate my ammo between two guns?

Just curious, can I consolidate ammo between two guns? Example, I have two level 3 M1 Garand sniper squads I like to use. Each soldier carries two M1 Garand sniper rifles, one with the scope and one with it removed. So, If I find it advantageous to snipe and run out of ammo, is there a way of using the ammo for my non scoped M1 Garand? I know it’s a game, but in real life, it’s the same ammo that I would be digging it out of the same ammo pouch.

that is weird, you could just take the sniper garand and use the iron sight.

No, the weapons shares the same mag. So they share the same ammo pool. If you have two primary weapons. It’s always better to have weapons with different mags. So they won’t be sharing the ammo pool.

Yeah, once you remove the scope, it is the just the basic M1 Garand, so I use made my sniper squads rifle squads with the ability to be snipers as well. It comes in handy, and I am in the process of doing the same with my higher level Russian and German squads.

my brother in Christ you are on 1850 silver, you could save thousands of silver if you used an ammo pouch instead of buying a second gun and max upgrading it.

Well, no one ever said I was intelligent.
Here is the German Sniper/Rifleman squad I started building, obviously nothing is upgraded so it is at the grass roots. :yum:

Nah, that’s not why he done that. Having classic garand and sniper garand on one soldier is cool.

I am not a big fan of the FG42, but it seems to be few options at level 5.

The only drawback I see is that I cannot replace the scope with a bayonet, however I actually love it as I can use him as a basic rifleman, and when I see enemy in mass off in the distance switch to the Scoped rifle.

because 98% of sniper rifles in ww2 were bolt-action rifles and all except the Lee-Enfield are BR1-2.
I do know of some weapons that could be added like the Scoped M2 carbine, but the options are rather limited.

I recommend axe for that. It costs only 100 silvers now and it can take a role of bayonet to some extent.

With the Germans I like the STG 44 as an assault rifle better then as a sniper rifle, and like the G41 and G43 better as sniper rifles, so that combo works out pretty good for my German squads. I have also changed my level 5 squads so several of them now utilize a sniper. I do like the Garand as a sniper rifle and it works fine in level 5, however, I would love to see them put a scope on the 1941 Johnson to use at level 5. Actually, I would love to see the T20 as a sniper rifle, but I think MANY would cry foul.

All my level one and two US squads have an axe, but for some reason, I never got around to doing that above those levels. I mostly play allies level 5 so I guess I could rob from the lower levels and give the axes to my level 5 squads for now. I am not good at melee, that’s one reason I haven’t done it yet.

In your case, yes, when you get ammo from boxes you get magazines for both garands because it use the same magazine

No medpack??

Most do, but I figure most are dead before I can use them anyway. :joy: Besides, I have 14 level 5 squads and all are decked out with maxed T20’s, and some have maxed out M2’s as backups, so, I couldn’t afford med kits.

you could go tool box tho could help ally tank a bit if lucky

That’s not very wise. If you have no med kit, you are robbing yourself of chance to be just downed. And it’s always going to be insta kill instead.

There’s only one hidden advantage to using a sniper rifle without it’s scope:

It retains it’s sniper level dispersion (or lack of). So you get very accurate semis.

I don’t recommend using 2x the same arm, thought. It only nullifies the advantage of bringing 2 weapons as you only get the spare magazine already in your second identical rifle. With Garands that’s just 8 rounds.

A big ammo pouch doubles your rounds, and Garands with scopes CAN be used with just iron sights if the need arises…
