Buffing the Chi-To & Chi-Ri II anti infantry capability

Both the Chi-To and Chi-Ri are modelled with Type 90 (1930) 75mm HE round from 1930… from bloody 1930… featuring only 490g of TNT explosive power.

The Chi-Nu is modelled with 75mm Type 94 HE (from 1934) with 810g TNT equivalent HE power

So heres my proposal…
Give them 75mm Type 98 HE rounds (from 1938) instead, featuring 940g of TNT quivalent instead, which would be much needed upgrade compared to 490g…

I don’t see why not, the armor is so thin they need all they help possible

Tbh for vehicle stuff you should report it in War Thunder since Enlisted implement vehicle based on it.
Btw do you have any source that state that round can be fired by the main gun of Chi To and Chi Ri?

Turns out the 75mm Type 90 HE should have 900g of TNT… not 490g…

I created a bug report here: (Pls support it)

Not really.

Page 60 of pdf.
Japan literally has several shells named type 90 shell.

thats long pointed version of the type 90 HE shell

Exactly, so there is nothing wrong since the type 90 HE in game is that shell.

thats because that version is completely pointless to have in enlisted. Makes far more sense to have the non pointed higher HE version

That is not my point, my point is the stat of the current shell is correct, so there is no bug in the first place. You are just requesting for a better HE shell.

hold your horses comrade :raised_hand:

we are talking about the TNT equivalent?

Or or about the mass of explosives?

how can I explain - the thing is that, for example, black powder with the same mass what is TNT has a significantly lower explosive power in TNT equivalent

Are you sure that the WT wiki indicates the amount of explosives, and not the TNT equivalent?

wt wiki uses tnt equivalent

Acoording to the wiki itself the shell does uses TNT as filler and not some othere mixture of anything.

how can I say well 900 grams of explosives for a 75mm gun looks a bit strange

I’m a little skeptical

it’s not a howitzer, and field artillery :tipping_hand_man:

you can’t fit too much explosives in there

I could be wrong

The Japanese are renowned for stuffing crazy amount of HE filler in their shells.
Even US intelligence says they have 900g of TNT filler in their 75mm HE rounds.

Their 37mm HE has like double the amount compared to US 37mm HE

I mean japan stuffed 460 grams of HE into the APHE of the Ho-I. So them stuffing their HE with even more would still be believable.

what about the type of explosives

SHOTOYAKU :expressionless:

Ammonium nitrate 50% + TNT 50%

Chi-Nu in game has 75mm Type 94 HE shell in game with 810g TNT

I don’t remember the formula for converting to TNT equivalent

I can’t just take it as multiply like 2 x 2 =
