And double barrel shotguns. Shotguns make almost no damage at medium ranges
That’s the power of 9mm
All SMG’s with the same caliber do the same damage. Want more? Use .45 ACP
And all shotguns*
I want my realistic range Browning Auto 5 and Winchester 1912 too
Show me a German BR2 45 ACP SMG first please.
Lol. Pathetic German soldier can’t handle the stoppin power of muh .45 ACP
In all seriousness though, yeah the SMG damage is based on caliber. It’s the only gun type in the game like that though. It’s pretty neat in all honesty and I’d love to see it more widely implemented, but the Semi’s have to be nerfed or whatever. So you’re stuck with that damage until you get to your StG’s and whatnot
You could bring some Guns for the topic but as always you talk shit, atleast its a Shit Gun Topic so you be half right.
how are people supposed to take you serious?
-FNAB needs a buff-
“FNAB is bad because it uses 9mm, don’t like it just pick 45 ACP”
-Germany has no 45 ACP-
“LOL PATHETIC CRYING ABOUT NOT HAVING 45 ACP”
you sir should take a break from the internet, your recent shit posts are getting out of hand
…it was a joke? Hence the “in all seriousness” following that sentence? Look man it ain’t my problem if you people don’t understand the concept of humor. Dang there really must be Germans round here, huh?
All the guns chambered in .45 do the same damage (M3, Thompson)
All British guns chambered in 9mm do the same damage (Sten, Lanchester)
All German guns chambered in 9mm do the same damage (MP38, MP40, FNAB, etc)
It’s a simple fact that their damage is based off of their caliber. And while it’s been proven .45 and 9mm have essentially identical close range ballistics and damage to the human body, I’ll take my damage buff when it’s given to me. Lol
German SMG’s are just kinda subpar all round. I like the FNAB, the MP40 was alright, MP38 was sufficient
Your strengths lie elsewhere (MG’s, StG, armor)
so? whats your point?
lol, 45 was so successful that US decided that it was too OP and switched to 9mm.
Keep crying.
The reasons I’m finding online vary from the Beretta being lighter than the 1911, to it being easier to qualify with 9mm, to mag capacity, to overall carrying capacity, to NATO standardization. Any of which could have been a factor, or none of which. The reason stated in the video is to save money due to the price difference in .45 ACP and 9mm
And yes, .45 ACP is OP. Anti Cow Projectile.
Chauchat got highly buffed accuracy now.
In fact. Chauchat is now one of the best “semi auto” rifle there is
I know a guy here in Europe who owns a M1911A2, it’s a timeless gun, really great design but that doesn’t change the fact that 9mm is the more optimal round for war, all nations during ww2 that standardised their first large scale SMG chose 9mm.
I remember seeing a video in which a guy asked people new to shooting guns to rate rather Mp40 or Thompson M1A1 is better and all of them picked Mp40 due to less recoil.
False, Sten does 5.5, MP-40 does 5.8, MP-35/I does 6.0, but to be fair the Sten has the shortest barrel, (7.7 inches) MP-40 is in the middle, (9.9 inches) and the MP-35/I has the longest barrel but I can’t find any sources on its length.
Now as for Japan, Caliber doesn’t mean shit, first off, 8×22mm Nambu historically had half the power of 9×19mm Parabellum and almost a quarter of the power of 7.62×25mm Tokarev, but the 8×22mm in game (only for the 3 different Type 100 SMG variants) has 6.0 base damage and when fully upgraded it does 1.0 less damage than fully upgraded .45 ACP.
This makes the Type 100s the best Japanese Smgs because the other 8mm Smgs like the Type 2a deals 5.6 Damage and empties its magazine so quickly and feels so weird I think it’s the worst SMG in the game.
Also 7.65Ă—21mm Parabellum gets the special treatment as well, in the S1-100 it does 7.0 Damage when fully upgraded even though the round historically was 25% more powerful than the 8Ă—22mm Nambu, in the MP-28 the 7.65 suddenly does PPSh-41 damage with a fire rate of 550 when fully upgraded, this is abysmal since it has Ă—3 the Recoil which means if you miss just 1 shot, it could be what costs your life.
Here is the power levels of the mentioned cartridges out of a pistol:
8Ă—22mm Nambu: 200 ft/lbs at muzzle
7.65Ă—21mm Parabellum: 304 ft/lbs at muzzle
9Ă—19mm Parabellum: 338 ft/lbs at muzzle
7.62Ă—25mm Tokarev: 401 ft/lbs at muzzle
One last thing I would like to point out is that 7.62Ă—25 Tokarev would be much higher if shot out of a SMG, in a pistol length barrel only 70% of the powder is able to burn before the bullet exits the barrel, the powder was also designed with a medium burn rate which makes it perfect for SMGs with 10 inch barrels.
Hmm
Well I only looked at a handful of them. Looked at the Red Coat ones, looked at the Thompson’s and M3, and looked at a few Kraut ones and noticed a pattern in all of them. Easy to come to that conclusion when I just so happened to notice something looking at a few of them
In Enlisted, if your SMG goes below 500rpm, .45 ACP gonna have issue shooting at moving target + the crap dispersion beyond close range
9mm has almost double the projectile speed the .45 has…
