Heroes and Generals does the M2 Carbine perfectly, please uses it as an example. It only occupies 30% of your screen and it has much less recoil than what we have on Enlisted. Enlisted recoil is crazy in comparison
TLDR
Nerf the Sight so its clearer to see, it’s too big atm
reduce the recoil slighly, its much worst in comparison to the FG42 as it was meant as a counterpart against that
Gameplay from Heroes and Generals on M2 Carbine. its one of the best weapons for the US, and should be a good weapon, but not with the ridiculous sight of what we have now on Enlisted
Game is not meant to be a perfect symetrical set up. So no its not meant to be the counterpart of that.
If the M2 was the best gun in H&G I am happy I did not play that game, seems really unrealistic then. The M2 functions as it should function, no need for any recoil changes to it.
Its not a great gun but you can learn to control it. Hip fire works fine and can wipe a squad with 1 clip. Its great to give to the engineers or whatever extras you use in an assault squad. Its a great assault rifle but a bad battle rifle. As it was.
M2 is one of the best but not the best, the M1919 is also pretty good. Hip fire works yes, I can top score with this gun, but sight aiming is no good or when you try to aim for mid range. In Heroes and Generals this gun can kill people in short to mid. Enlisted its only good for Short. For a gun that unlocked this late and an iconic weapon for the US it should be buffed
In regards to 7 hits i refers to the longer range, obviously in close quarters 2-3 is enough to do the job, but compared to other Guns which I use the damage is quite lacking imo
The picture i show is when you right click hold it. zoom is like this but its still kinda cancer to aim with. I know they werent but its clear the Devs is taking a new approach as we also have FG42, Jumbo, italian and czech weapons…
I agree that the M2 carbine needs to have the PoV of the sights adjusted to be at the correct angle to operate. I also agree that it needs to have it’s recoil reduced to be in line with it’s performance. (as does the M1 carbine).
But other than that, I really wish you wouldn’t constantly make references to other games. I understand doing so occasionally, but this isn’t H&G, so making constant references to that game isn’t beneficial to your promotions of adjustments to Enlisted itself. Occasional comparisons, sure, can be helpful. But you seem to reference that game constantly in suggestion posts, Takun.
From 8:13 he talks about shooting it. If you cant be bothered with the explaination of the inner parts.
To me the way the gun shoots in the game is darn close to what it does in the game.
Game balance > Realism. There’s something to be considered for trying to make it realistic to a reasonable degree, certainly, but buffing the weapon to make it competitive in regards to damage, accuracy, or recoil, is something that needs to be considered.
For sure indeed, I am a 100% advocate that game goes over realism. I also think the gun is not that bad tbh, pretty good assault rifle/smg for short/mid range. Which coincides with what it is supposed to be.
I use it in 2 of my 5 inf squads over the Garand, as a more pushing/assault based squad.
More the issue than the M2’s own recoil, is that it’s contemporary, the FG42, has less recoil, more damage, more range, etc. and is on the whole just a more capable weapon - though i do think the M2 should get a slight improvement to recoil, if not a major one, somewhere in the mid-30’s for a value - and then that the m1 carbine should get matching recoil figures. (effectively, giving the M2 carbine the base recoil values of what it has in it’s upgraded state)
Meanwhile, the MP43/1 would be a better contemporary for the axis side for the M2 than the FG42, and the FG42 should be made into a gunner level, or made a higher level universal weapon and compared to the Johnson 1941 LMG.
I have this gun on all of my Rifleman. So I uses it all the time, on an AI its okayish. but not so much when you need to shoot ppl that are hiding behind covers, its only good at short range on CQC hip firing. I have 2 squads fully equipped with M2 Carbine mowing ppl down, but it can be frustrating at times to use it
Are your m2 carbine users max stars? I only have 4 stars. im training some 5 stars
