Buff the German APC

I know this is a fairly frequent suggestion but god damn that thing is horrendous. You try to turn? say goodbye to your speed. You try to go uphill? No. You try to speed up? Have fun not doing that.
It needs a better Engine or Wheels.

It applies to any real APC (except, of course, the GAZ AAA and the Studebaker to an extent). The Japanese Isuzu is horrendous, like when I’m going up a 1 degree incline and another squad spawns, the vehicle completely stops. The German half track doesn’t half track, and the Studebaker forgot brakes exist.

Its a half-track and not a wheeled APC like the studebaker or GAZ

They can give all a bit “chip tuning” for a bit more HP cuz climb on a hill is horrible

I’m pretty sure half tracks should be faster going off road, or on extremely muddy pathways, than just wheels trucks…

In straight line yes but not in turning, if its turning he lose speed thats normal

Obligatory replace the Sd Kfz 7 with the Opel Blitz

Pretty sure a half track would have easier time turning/changing direction while off road or in a really muddy terrain (Moscow roads) compared to an all wheeled truck…

(Have you ever been mudding? I guarantee you you don’t roll as fast crossing mudd, puddles and bumps and rocks etc)

you did understand me wrong i’d say when it turns it loses speed and not it can go badly on terrain, sure its faster there but dosnt matter…

Does this literally mean how quickly the steering can move from left to right?

Because I thought the issue was traction, acceleration and Horse power. I was under the impression It doesnt turn well cos at low speeds because its engine is weak, not because of the literal “turn speed”

APCs, and even more so half-track ones, are already weak enough that it could really help having them being faster while going off road, as currently it feels pathetic trying to climb a small ditch, and don’t let me get started on those big ahh craters like those found in Normandy, or after a massive plane bomb. Because that’s a vehicle loss right there everytime you fall into one.

Paired with this. Half track vehicles are very noisy and easy to detect with that clanking squeaky sound of the tracks. (Which is realistic, I like it) But again, some extra movement could really help.

Tried both Sd.Kfz.251/1 and the Sd.Kfz.251/9 on devserver - to me it seems they’ve became slightly better at turning, but worse at going uphill in comparison to main server.

Yeh turn is one thing but traction is another, @Euthymia07-live Hi, please pass this on to devs, it can’t even make it up some hills…
