The British planes are beautiful and very good imho.
I have no less than 6 British planes at my disposal.
They all feel good, manoeuvrable and the cannons rip everything apart.
The Spitfire is the best fighter in the game.
I wish I also owned the Tempest, itās like the Spitfire I always wanted (with bombs).
Sadly there is no tech tree for the British and none is planned.
So I have dedicated a compilation video to these amazing British planes.
I also bring the BR 2 Spitfire to BR 5 and clear the skies with ease and great fun.
Iām still hoping for bombs/rockets to be added or perhaps a better armed gold order version of the Spitfire in the upcoming battle passā¦?
The Mosquito is also great, bombing difficult to master, but the fuselage mounted cannons tear everything in half, amazing.
How would you like to see it get more attention, other than I might dedicate a video to it?
yeah but 20s best turn vs sub-16s is a bit of a meme. Same with Ki-84 ko. (And Iām not sure those turn times arenāt already including any ordnance on the planesā¦) Probably a few other planes too
Itās a shame because it makes the game worse - your only valid move is to head on suicide hoping to take it with you as you simply cannot outfly an UFO
Itās just annoying imo
Plane design is about balancing things. I think its basically an iron law that as the planes got faster their turn times got worse, as the physics required for high speed meant tiny wings with higher loading
Japan āgot aroundā it by making paper-mache planes with poor armament and very little survivability. And even then, the Zero isnāt very fast, even as it turns like crazy and can be handily beat by something like a P-51 or a P-38
109 can handily beat an IL2ā¦unless you get just a little bit too slow, then you are absolutely, irrevocably screwed
Almost any reasonable plane vs plane combination has some flight envelopes where either one has an advantage
The UFOs donāt. They are both faster, turn better, climb harder, retain energy like crazy
