Bring back ability to stack sandbags OR add tall windowed sandbag walls as a structure

The recent update that removed the ability to stack sandbags is really frustrating. I can understand limiting them to 2 tall, but this is ridiculous.

There are tall sandbag walls around as part of the terrain, and many of them have windows. Let us build our own so we can actually have some remotely decent survivability with fortifications.

Did they really intentionally “fixed” it?
I would love to reason why.

But it’s true I was mostly using it as “ladder”, not like some kind of cover. It was very useful for example on Normandy mansion conquest map.

It was commonly used to make machine gun nest immune to snipers:

I have never seen this in actual match. So I wouldn’t say “commonly”.

Dont see why stacking had to be removed entirely when you could just fix the mg stack exploit.

Stacking is great, building monster fobs is fun

Tall windowed sandbags would be great. Also a particle effect improvement to them being shot would be good.

It’s clear dark flow hates defenders at this point The concept of defenders actually standing a Chance It’s just sheer lunacy to dark flow at this point They like the concept of fast-paced game where defenders don’t have a chance

They need to slow this game waaaay down. It would genuinely be great if they did. This is exactly why I am constantly arguing for suppression.

They do not care about defenders All of our words are just falling on deaf ears there are more pro attackers than our defenders

i agree with you, suppression is very needed no matter if the game is arcade or simlike, even battlefield had it, it just weird without it, many times i start shooting at someone and they return fire with ease, it feels really annoying. Slowing the game down would be another benefit ;D

Then they only need to fix THAT specific part, which really shouldn’t be hard to do. (Just make it not work if the hitbox of the gun is colliding with the sandbag).
Stacking sandbags on the SIDES of the machinegun should still be perfectly viable!!!

Also when im riddling someone with smg bullets only for them to turn around and one tap me with godlike precision despite having forcibly ingested copious amounts of lead via penetration of the skin and musculature at extreme vel.

well maybe it’s a classic move, they disabled it until it’s fixed. Hopefuly… along with other improvements like snaping on windows and such

One can hope. There is a LONG list of good suggestions I’ve seen to make engineers far more viable. I hope they incorporate even half that list.

In this case I agree 100% with your suggestion.
Stackable sandbags were useful.
The combination of barbed wire and sandbags laid down in enclosed and confined spaces, such as inside a bunker, and ambushing soldiers, is still very tricky, but in open areas, where attackers have more ways to attack, it is necessary to give defenders better-performing sandbags and other buildings to serve their defence would be necessary. That would give both attackers and defenders something new to look forward to.
Some areas that could be exploited by the map design, such as in the aforementioned bunker, will need to be adjusted, though.
