BR5 Madness

I finally gave BR5 a go.

I have a fairly decent BR5 Allies platoon that I’ve been nurturing for a while, so I thought I’d finally give it a blast.

My god! I can see why people call it a sweatfest! We won, but I think I spent most of the game suffering from shellshock and wondering where the hell shit was coming from!

I love the guns, the T20 and the 1919A6 and Stinger are awesome, but I truly didn’t realise just how mental the battle could be. Wow. Kudos to those who play this rank as normal. My hat goes off to you all.

What an absolute frenzy! Good shit though. I’ll be back once the PTSD has subsided.

Post ww2 BR5 is rough. We got UFO’s and Korean war closing in.

the time to kill - or better time to squad wipe is extremely fast, even at longer ranges because of assault rifles.

Tanks actually loose a bit of anti infantry power at higher BRs because they need longer to reload, but rocket planes fill this gap.

I switch from low BR to high BR quite often, but find myself enjoying low BR more, because of weaker SMGs and bolt action rifles.

Low BR still feels like a semi accurate ww2 game.

I play Germany and Japan at BRV but Soviets and USA/UK as BRIII.

Soviets and USA/UK are better at BRIII because then you can play the Moscow and Tunisia maps. Trying to play Germany at BRIII is just frustrating as BRIII Germany does not attack or defend objectives, they run as far away from the objectives as possible and then stand around staring off into nothing at getting killed.

BRV Germany and Japan seem to actually play the game, although sadly I have found BRV Soviets and USA/UK are just as bad at high BR as at low BR, so its better to just play them at low BR, cause then you can assume they are just bad because they are new.

Well, in nature brV wouldn’t be so bad.

But it becomes bad when people makes it that way.
And, stacks are more prevalent in higher brs. ( at least, in EU )

Still, I find occasionally fun “clapping” people with HA loadouts though.

You picked a bad time to try BR5 my good sir.
There are always more tryhards during events so since we have a double event at the moment, competition is even higher than usual.

BR5 is a cake walk if most of the players are not pure BR5 which is common, but since now we have these events, things get more interesting!

the first mistake is going allies br5 if you do jap it would be different as in the lvl of sweat. The lvl of how fast it kill is still the same

if only you have seen how it had been when enlisted had det pack spam meta and they introduced concussion effect. 80% of the game you were in concussed state cause of CAS, tanks and det packs.

I still don’t like USA BR5 since their sights are always more obscuring than of Ger/Sov only their MGs are fine but since M1919 shoots so slow it’s not a great gun to use against STG44/FG42 and Hei Automatic, and your M2 Stinger are only there in form of two guns (or maybe one more if you got lucky with last lootboxes).
Usa should be happy that they are not going against overpowered Soviets since they have all guns that Ger+USA has but better (soviet bias), JP with their Hei Automatic is even worse since casings are flying through through your sights and your ammo pool without any ammo bag is just two mags (same problem as with the T20 and FG42 as the paratrooper).

just pray dont see me in BR V in japan

BR5 is madness because

  1. The weapons
  2. People that have been playing long enough to realize being agressive is key in enlisted

So the first amplifies the second, imo it’s horrible mixture that makes the gameplay unbearable, I rather stay in low BR with more concentration of casuals, it’s more unpredictable, fun and those players don’t know most of scummy tactics in enlisted yet.

Which has gotten so much worse for the past year - reduction of greyzone, addition of Paratroopers and now even literally spawn kill squads means that defenders are attacking the attackers and trapping them into their spawns.

While attackers are flanking and attacking the spawns of the defenders.

Gameplay has gotten so chaotic its sad…

welcome to my home lokal :parrot: br 5 is jsut for the bravest ppl : D

Definitely need to be brave! But it was a lot of fun once the shellshock faded. I still need to work on my BR5 platoon though. It’s not quite there yet.

I’ve almost unlocked all of the Soviet tree too, but still need to drop a ton of silver on weapons first. I’m looking forward to giving them a try.

Where exactly are those people? I’ve recently had matches in “BR5” where neither team really built any rallies and almost no one ever went to the capzone

 This is one reason I want DF to keep my level 3 Allies out of level 5 games. It’s so fast paced with everything fully auto that most of my level 3 weapons, less the BAR A2 are outclassed. The BAR A2 would be a great level 5 gun if it had a 40 round mag.

I play mostly BR2 and BR5, so I don’t get the shock so much. But playing both levels really helps your lower level play as it heightens your reflexes.

I wish BR5 would be separated island so i could finally be able to use semis of BR3+4 at peace without getting murdered by no recoil ARs/SF rifles or MGs
