BR5 Madness

BR5 is okay. But certainly nothing I would recommend old people to play.

thats mostly because

  1. BR5 Japan is just so omega stacked it’s not even funny (whenever I get sick of getting put on BR2 Japan by faction RNG I just put on a BR5 plane and I NEVER get randomed into BR5 Jap)
  2. USA teams it faces are completely hapless, like I got a match against proper BR 5 japan…as BR3 USA… Most of my team was out there running around with BR1 and bad BR 2 gear at best. Was really “fun” getting lazored from stupid distances by people sprinting and bhopping with Heis and Type 100 LMGs when I have an 8 round rifle that shoots sideways if you dare to move at all before pulling the trigger

Yeah, DF needs to realize that BR5 is a different animal. I enjoy playing BR5, but “WITH BR5 WEAPONS”. I really like playing all the levels, but playing against equal levels with equal capabilities, I am not one that seeks taking my BR3 squads to the 2 level uptier challenge.

Did they nerfed HVAR so I couldn’t send them from 2000 meters away without any risks being catched by enemy AA and just go back for reload? XD

If no - then USA is still OP in terms of air-to-surface strikes.

I’m 60, so I guess that gives me an excuse when I get my ass kicked…like I just did against level 5 Japanese. However, I did kill two tanks and 19 people on the initial spawning of the game with my first bombing pass…Then only ended up with 29 kills total which was still good enough to be 2nd on the team. However, the Japs were going through the defenses like a hot knife through butter, so I didn’t feel to bad.

Flip side of the br5 sweat is the usually more competent players.

Since steam release we have tons of new folks on here (which is fantastic for the game GJ!) but lower BRs are full of people still learning the ropes.

Although I agree BR5 is very mentally taxing, its also usually the place NOW (post steam) with more rallies, and ground/air coordination.

BR5 is okay. But certainly nothing I would recommend old people to play.

Im 40+ and I greatly enjoy the higher tiers. Its very brutal place, appeals to my vegetarian nature

Now that we have more post war stuff in BR5 than actual WW2 stuff, all the post war (or fake) stuff needs to go to BR6 which also has to be hard locked to ±0 MM and never mix with BR5:

Hyde, T20, AS, AF, Ho-Ri, Chi-Ri, Conders, American MG-42 all need to go to BR6 and leave space for PPSh, Tommy 50 and STG.
