Jokes aside, there is a way to please those who like this update, just as those who dislike it.
Let me explain:
As soon as the āpreferred mapsā- abilty will come into the game, those who do not like certain maps can use that abilty to make the unliked maps appear way more rarely, especially combined with increasing the chance of maps they like.
(BRV players ādislikeā Moscow and ālikeā Berlin for example)
If some players think certain maps are not adjusted to high/low BRs, the devs should rework these maps based on player feedback, like adding more obstacles
And another thing:
The devs told us before in a news post about adjusting custom match options, like filtering weapons/tanks/planes by year for example. With this feature, those who REALLY CANT PLAY THE GAME after that anymore, could create their own matchmaking
(A quick reminder that you get full xp if there are enough players in a lobby)
This should please those who like the change, and those who dislike it.
After playing Tunisia with US, I think that aircraftās suspended armament needs to be limited on certain maps.
Plus USSR needs a tank like T-44-100 or IS-100.
Otherwise with a very few exceptions like Quarry map (should BR1-2 max), all maps could and should be opened up to all BRs.
Maybe some very iconic maps could also be restricted such as Stalingrad city map or Moat map which takes place in front of the Reichstag should be limited to BR1-3 and BR4-5 respectively.
they can add maps that were in the same area but not related to major battles and those maps would have any BR to them while keeping the other maps with major battles to certain BR like you said keeping the ww2 fans and ww2 fps fans happy
I think its just a good thing all maps are open for all BR.
Finally heavy tanks can compete on actual ~long range rather than playing parking simulator in cramped berlin.
