Not a good idea to put both of them on the same BR. Paying players would be in obvious advantage.

Then Axis tankers may as well quit the game if even downtiers will pen their Panthers and Tiger E/H1 from any distance.
M10 would be fine at BR3 (since it only has APCBC) however Achilles is a big nope it has the amazing ammo that can pen anything up to BR5.

Any advantage would be soooo minor and only relevant in the case of perhaps a Panther. The 76mm M62 shot is far more devasting to all tanks it would be shooting at . And as that is the tech tree variant, its good

Encountering BR5 with BR3 is not impossible. m10 canât do a shit frontally to well armored BR5 tanks, Achilles can.
I donât know why this should be considered a minor advantage.
You are only thinking about fighting Germany but what about Japan? Do you want to murder them in a single shot every time they leave their spawn?
If you bring Achilles there you will be fighting vs Ho-I, Ho-Ni I/III, Chi-ha short, Chi-Nu, Na-to, Chi-to which you can pen like through a butter with APDS.
With your suggestion also your Firefly should be fighting most of them since you want it to become a BR4 tank.
How about we bring Jumbo 76mm to BR4 too because you know itâs just an upgraded Sherman iâm sure Japanese will enjoy your frontal armor and APCBC shells that will make their teammates enjoy even more fireworks.

I think the purpose of these BR changes are in the spirit of -+1 being more permenant.

I totally disagree on shipping the UD M42 from BR2 to BR3. You already have several Thompsonâs offered at BR3 for the allies. Yes, it has a high firing rate and low recoil, but so does the German M1918 SMG. NTM the German M1918 SMG fires faster then the UD M42 and both come with 25 round mags with virtually the same recoil. So why put the allies at a disadvantage unless your also going to ship the German M1918 SMG up to BR3 as well? BTW, 25 round mags drain fast with high output weapons. 
âŚJapanese tanks have generally no armor. Non HE Filler shells all cut through like a hot knife through butter anyway. APDS would be a waste⌠Ever heard the saying best armor no armor. M10 would be more to worry about with its m62 shot. And if the 75mm shermans get their Good ammunition, All tanks at that BR have much more to worry about.
Thats not a BR 3 chassis though is it. Some Serious Armor, so much more than a panther or TIger with a BR 4 gun.

Cant believe that the Achilles lowering to br3 have been suggest i was mostly joking about someone saying that but i guess it has already happen

Yes, and a BR III panzer IV can kill an IS 2 Quite decentlyâŚdoes âanyoneâ see the parallel? Everyone gets so caught up on and distracted by âOh but it can kill a king Tiger 2â as the defining feature of where something should be, and conveniently forgetting precedents and other balancing factors, Not to mention there is a Tank BR system that this game is based on, and has been worked on for over a decade as reference.

You want a deliberately lower BR of vehicle that performs quite well on its current BR. And thereby make the current vehicles on lower BR obsolete once the vehicle in question is going to be lowered.
It just doesnât make any sense whatsoever.
