If I wasnā€™t in so much pain Iā€™d find a good clip of Gordon Ramsay yelling ā€œitā€™s f@#$ing RAW!ā€. For that clip from H&G. Missing several frames, there.

i like the hng animation

I dont see an issue. Either way is acceptable.

When I shoot I wrack the bolt closer to the Enlisted

Yes. They should copy Red Orchestra 2ā€™s reloading animation or something similar.

its not really important for gameplay - but Enlisted bolt actions always remind me of Battlefield 1942, where you quit ADS after every shot, which is a crazy outdated way to animate cycling of bolts.

Not really. thats how I shootā€¦irl ā€¦different style

They should at least change the Lee Enfield sniper reload animation to a more realistic one. Changing the mag of this rifle is really cursed, and completely inaccurate, the mag wasnā€™t supposed to be removed. Only stripper clips were used, or in the case of the sniper variant, only one bullet at a time.

In a war setting, when you are trying to put as many rounds into the enemy as possible, that specific style is not very viable. That is part of the reason why specific firing techniques were made. Why am I saying this? I would like the option to cycle another round without leaving ADS. If I want to leave ADS and cycle another cartridge, I can choose not to aim. The end goal is freedom of choice.

only thing i would change about the current imagine is making the firing pin move when you pull the trigger

I think it would be easier IRL to cycle the bolt while ADS with rifles which have a cranked bolt (like SMLE, Kar98, Springfieldā€¦) because it is easier to reach, instead of a straight bolt (like Mosin, Arisaka, Lebelā€¦).
This might be an idea for balancing weapons a bit differently.

Depends what you are trying to do. Staying in ā€œIronsightsā€ helps for watching your bullet onto the target. keeps your vision narrow and focused. Great for singeling out a Target.

But When engaging many targets, I prefer looking up and picking the next best target as soon as I have shot.

hunting here is nearly never 1 target (anywhere from 10- 50 targets at any one timeā€¦even over 100 on occasion), and mostly on the move. Its more ā€œcullingā€ than hunting

I wish you Aussies could be allowed to cull those camels the same way as Americans cull wild hogs.

Americans have all the funā€¦no sir, we make do with Bolties (Semi Auto center-fire if you have professional license)

I learned on a SMLE MK 3ā€¦loved it. Now I use a Jungle Carbine Replica chambered in 7.62x39

Also In my experience on these enfields is less jamming if you really go hard and fast on the bolt. Loves it rough. Another reason Why I prefer dropping from looking down the sights, you can really crank that bolt, and use the rifles weight to advantage. Honestly its not slow lol

Fast is smooth, smooth is fast :stuck_out_tongue:

INTIMACY ?
cycling your bolt while aiming.
dont you think ?

i never shot in real life.
tbh

Does the government just not care enough to provide cullers with leftover weapons and ammunition from, letā€™s say, Vietnam? They produced over a million L1A1s and could easily hand them out to cullers along with ammunition.

Very true

Port Arthur shooting almost 30 years ago was the end of that. All the Vietnam Veterans and farmers had to hand in their SKS and AKs etc etcā€¦That left hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammnution on many farms that was no longer of any use. Part of the reason I got my rifle chambered in 7.62x39, a near endless supply of cheap ammo laying about that no one had any use for.

Only professionals can apply for that sort of thing anymore.

They army used to go out and do some, I dont know if they still do it.

Everyones got their troubles, but i assume you mean gun lawsā€¦

I dont really think about it anymore. It was devastating at the timeā€¦my dad had a m1 carbine and an m14 that he had to hand inā€¦such great weapons

After a few decades im perfectly happy on a bolt/lever/pump action. More economical
