Bolt-action sniper rifle should be nerfed

Tactics win, rushing gets you killed. Confrontation battle on Moscow, we tried to take the second cap zone 3 times, no luck, all the enemy troops were at the cap zone when we tried to enter the building. So i took an engineer, snuck to a favorable position, made a rally point for the team and when the capzone unlocked, built an AA gun facing the door of the cap zone. 60+ kills in 2 minutes and we won the battle.
They never knew what hit them…

You have a point there. I’m fully qualified in all my campaigns, and I plan to bring a sniper team

Sounds like a great idea. I’m sure there are a lot of sniper haters out there

But whats so OP about snipers? As I mentioned there are plenty ways to camp spawns effectively. And if it annoys you too much your best chance is to countersnipe to free up the way again.

I remember a match on Stalingrad over the park in front of the shopping mall where I had absolutely 0 chance with my semi auto sniper rifle against a bolt action sniper from across the place and he pinned us down rather effectively. It was kinda frustrating but hey… thats exactly what snipers are for. To frustrate the enemy team in their advance.

How about if 4 or 5 enemy squads are snipers?
It feel more like volley fire resulting in comparable casaulties as Air Strike every 5 seconds.
This is the problem with how maps were designed here.

i wonder, should we have any sort of restrictions put on the match based off of how many division types there are?
i mean it like a plane/tank slot limitation, you can deploy x amount of planes/tanks per match, and you gotta wait till that squad is gone before you can use it.
in this case of infantry it will be far less severe, something to the point where its fair, but also not restricted so badly that noone can play the game.
basically it restricts how many certain squad types can be deployed on the battlefield, so we dont end up with a spam of OP weapons, or a spam of squads (for example sniper squad spam)

for example the riflemen squads will of course not be restricted, because they’re the most common, unless they’re equipped with semi/full auto rifles, because it wouldnt make sense to have unlimited slots for riflemen squads with op weapons, and it would rather make more sense to restrict semi/full auto weapons because they’re less common, and often spammed. (for example in berlin, the fg42 II spam)
it also wouldnt make sense to restrict new players to not be able to use their riflemen squads with boltaction rifles.
if semi auto weapons squads werent restricted then everyone would just play riflemen squads, and they would be ditching boltaction rifles even faster before the boltaction rifle buff.

other squads slots such as snipers could get restricted, something like 3-5 squads slots per match.
because having 1-2 squads slots per match is stupidly restrictive for such useful squads, and having everyone use snipers or any other squad only, it would just be a unfair death trap for the enemy

Yeah thats a possibility.

Personally I usually regard sniper players as more hurtful to their own team than useful as they often tend to sit miles behind the frontline and have little to no effect in defending the objective but when you meet people who know tactically what they are doing it can be a huge obstacle to overcome.

My main issue with snipers in Pacific (still FAR from gamebreaking, just pointing it out) is that, unlike Tunisia, there’s plenty of concealment and vegetation for snipers to blend in.

Despite the killcam highlighting the sniper, I really struggle to find him with my next soldier(s) and shoot back before he kills me again, and again.

But that’s mostly my problem, I have problems distinguishing between very similar shades of colours, so the whole matter of uniforms and vegetation in Pacific is sort of a nightmare to me XD.

Bolt actions can be used against snipers, at least i succeed rather often with it even at large distances, thanks to the “kill cam” its not too hard to spot the sniper and retailiate.
Its a bit fidely but it works you should get in cover befor you do it however otherwise you get directly picked off next.

But isnt that how a sniper is meant to work? Fire from concealment to pick off the enemy, thats why their squads are smaller.
